The $342,000 park was funded by the club through internal sponsorship, a grant from the Alan S. Gaynor Fund and AMBUCS, the Herb Traub Fund and support from the City of Savannah and Chatham County. It is accessible to all children, including those who have wheelchair limitations and other specialized conditions.
The design includes nine slides, 16 climbers, and eight swings. The equipment can support a capacity up to 300 children. The ground is covered with rubber matting and mulch.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience for middle school girls in Chatham county to learn about marine science (underwater robots), and to design and program a playable game around this theme all under the guidance of female scientists, game designers, and programmers.

DAY 1: Start the week with a field trip to UGA’s Marine Education Center and Aquarium, where attendees will spend a day with the female scientists running UGA’s marine science underwater robotics program, and learn about how they use coding with underwater robots to study the ocean.
DAY 2: Attendees will work with a SCAD game professor designing a game around the information they learned at Skidaway, and then be introduced to the Scratch programming tool, an easy to use block based programming toolkit from MIT.
DAYS 3-5: Attendees will work with Savannah Girls Who Code instructor to implement their designs using Scratch. This will include learning a variety of important and fundamental computer programming concepts. Attendees will have a completed game to show on the final day of camp, and will have a .
This camp is open to grads 5th – 8th for young women attending school in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. It is designed for girls who have no coding experience.
There are 20 spots available. Applicants will be accepted in the order of their submission.
This will be a collaborative edutaining adventure in homesteading, interactive presentation, and educational performance FOR ALL AGES.
Activities include: from how to prepare your soil, proper watering, how to plant and care for seedlings, when and how to harvest your crops and multiple ways to prepare your harvest from garden to table. In addition, arts and crafts, food trucks, and vendors will be available.

The St. Andrew’s Boys Varsity Soccer team is headed to Macon for the GISA Final Four on Saturday, May 7. Kick off is at 4 p.m. at Mercer University against Westminster School of Augusta.
According to Coach Blake Seale, the team has been extremely focused on the semi-final round. They have watched lots of game film this week to determine their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses and spent time on the field working on better field shooting positions. Coach Seale also shared two stats worth noting. Thaddeus Sawyer ’26 has over 100 steals this season and Gordon Standing ’23, with 25 goals, is the leading scorer for GISA schools.
