When Disney On Ice Princesses & Heroes debuts in Savannah this Wednesday 10/30, patrons will be greeted by Cinderella’s Pumpkin Carriage brought to life courtesy of the talented Sculpture Forum at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). The group has been working on the creation since last week on the SCAD campus in Boundary Hall.
The pumpkin, which came from the Savannah State Farmer’s Market was 80” in circumference and 3 ft. tall when delivered to the students.
Finishing touches will be completed today. The Carriage Sculpture will then be delivered to the Savannah Civic Center on Wednesday 10/30, just in time for the opening night performance of Disney On Ice.
Dreamers from Savannah will witness the magic when Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White all make their wishes come true in this collection of celebrated tales wonderfully told through artistic skating and acrobatics.
The show will play the Savannah Civic Center October 30 – November 3, 2013.
The sculpture will be on display in the Savannah Civic Center lobby throughout the run of Disney On Ice presents Princesses & Heroes.
