To invest in our students and those who teach them is to invest in our future. Applications are now being accepted for  Teach the Future Fellowship in Savannah , a yearlong fellowship for educators dedicated to transforming their schools and classrooms to prepare all students for the world as it is and will be, not as it was.

How can schools and classrooms be restructured to empower students to apply knowledge in new and unique ways? How do schools foster inquisitiveness and creativity? How can the power of technology as a creative tool be employed to enhance and expand students’ ability to connect and create in positive and valuable ways?

These questions are explored by educators in Teach the Future Fellowship in Savannah. Fellows identify a challenge in their classroom or school that they want to explore and for which they want to develop a unique solution. Through a series of programs during the fellowship, educators connect with and explore entrepreneurial approaches and frameworks, and relevant technological tools, that can be used in the development of the solution. Fellows have an opportunity to connect with other educators to help inspire, inform, and develop transformative solutions and approaches to teaching.

The fellowship is open to teachers and educational leaders from public and private institutions in the Savannah area. Fellows will have an opportunity to develop a broader network and connect with local resources in the technological and entrepreneurial space.

Older kids will enjoy a musical journey that teaches them new things as well as exploring new musical concepts…all while having fun.

About Music of Savannah

Music Together of Savannah is a preschool music studio for children aged 5 months to 5 years. Parents or caregivers attend 45 minute classes once a week for 11 week sessions. A collection of music comes along with your enrollment. Each new session brings new music and there are 9 wonderful Music Together collections in all. Bring your kids to the FREE Gage Ochsner Kids Fishing & Coastal Water Safety event 8:30-11AM, Sat. Sept. 22 2018 @ the Tybee Pier & Pavilion on Tybee Island.

The day of FREE fun for kids ages 5 to 12 is being held in conjunction with Georgia’s free fishing day & is sponsored by Safe Kids Savannah, the Chatham County Aquatic Center, & the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to promote fishing as a family activity & water safety.

This is the seventh consecutive year for the event which is named in memory of Gage Ochsner, M.D., a long-time supporter of Safe Kids Savannah and specifically the Kids Fishing and Coastal Water Safety event.

Parents mush accompany children during the event. One parent for every three children.
