Mayfair Marlins summer swim team 2022 in Savannah open to ages 4-18

Here’s a chance for your child to have a Savannah swim team experience in a laid-back summer atmosphere.

The Mayfair Marlins summer swim team in Savannah is open to ages 4-18. No swim team experience necessary. First practice is May 23 2022 @ Chatham County Aquatic Center. Practices eventually move to Mayfair neighborhood pool. Pool membership is NOT required to join the team.

Summer swim teams have meets with other members of the Savannah Coastal Summer League (such as Isle of Hope;  Wilmington Park; Savannah Golf Club; Savannah Quarters; Savannah Yacht Club.

• No swim team experience necessary (Ages 4-18)
• Morning/Evening practices
• One meet per week (June) | Final Meets June 29-30
• For those unable to swim 25 yards – our team offers pre-swimmer clinics ($75) Saturdays in June
• All swimmers receive a t-shirt, latex cap, and award
• Team suits are available for purchase/pre-order
• Member of the Savannah Coastal Summer League

All lessons (Private, Semi-Private and Group) focus on stroke development, personal safety, water sports, games, and rescue. The program is unique in the Y’s child centered learning approach with an emphasis on building self-esteem, both in and out of the water.

YMCA lessons are designed to nurture the whole person– spirit, mind, and body.

Classes offered for children as young as 6 months old, to build confidence and gain comfort in and around water.

You and your family can take advantage of ALL of the pools and splash pads at our YMCA of Coastal Georgia locations, all summer long. Summer Pool Pass holders will also gain access to all ten YMCA of Coastal Georgia locations- including the group exercise class, fitness centers, and child watch while you work out or take a dip in the pool.

This program is perfect for anyone looking to make a splash and enjoy their summer in the sun.

The Savannah Quarters Sailfish Swim Team in Pooler is a great way for kids to make friends and have fun this summer.

Established in 2015, the Savannah Quarters Sailfish Swim Team is a Pooler-based youth summer swim
team dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of competitive swimming.

Discounts

Early bird registration for the 2017 summer is going now through April 30. Savannah Quarters offers discount of the registration fee & sibling discount. The season runs May 15–July 9 2017.

Summer fun

The team’s goal is to provide all participants with an enjoyable experience, developing great sportsmanship, furthering competitive swimming skills, and cultivating special friendships and lifelong memories.

The team is competing in the Savannah Coastal Swim League and will be hosting as well as traveling to various city locations for swim meets.

Team practices are 6-8PM Mondays, Thursdays & Sundays. Five meets throughout June 2017, usually on Tuesdays plus the Rising Star and City Meet @ Chatham Aquatic Center in late June or early July 2017.

GCAT (Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team) Swim Team
Practices @ the Chatham Co. Aquatic Center in Savannah
GCAT is a competitive year round swim team for ages 5-18.
Head Coach Bill Forrester, Olympic Bronze Medalist, leads a group of experienced coaches in training children to be great swimmers as well as disciplined, well mannered, inspired young people.
Starting Aug. 15 at 4PM, coaches will be on deck for any new swimmers who want to give GCAT a try for two weeks Monday through Friday.
