Tormenta FC Academy’s Summer Camp Series, presented by Critical Power Resiliency, and Summer Training events have officially kicked off across Savannah, Statesboro, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Pooler, Effingham, Richmond Hill and Hardeeville with limited slots still available.
Tormenta FC Academy summer camps, which run through Aug. 5, are intended for kids between the ages of 4-13.

Registered kids receive two free games of bowling each day of the Kids Bowl Free program all summer long at the bowling center with which you register. Age limits are set by the individual bowling centers.
There’s also a family pass option that allows adults, older siblings and babysitters to bowl along with the registered kids. The family pass is a one time payment, that is set by participating bowling centers.

The South Carolina Chapter American Society of Landscape Architects presented the award, which is the highest honor it bestows, at its annual conference held recently in Greenville, South Carolina. Chris Darnell, an Urban Designer with the Town of Hilton Head Island, and Wood and Partners, the firm that designed the park, accepted the award.
At the FREE Lantern Parade 2022 on HIlton Head Is., every participant will have a lantern to march. Each lantern will be a representation of our history, our ecology, our recreation or ourselves.

Nov. 12, 2022 Parade Route: Alder Lane Beach Access to Coligny Beach Park Parade Starts @ Sunset (5:45 PM-ish)Created by and featuring artist Chantelle Rytter, the Lantern Parade is a free event and an opportunity for the surrounding community and visitors to celebrate the history, ecology and people of Hilton Head Island.
The only requirement to participate is having a lantern!
Lineup for the parade begins at 5PM at the Alder Lane Beach Access.
The parade will start at 5:45PM Sat Nov. 12, right after sunset, and travel north along South Forest Beach up to Coligny Beach Park.
Spectators can watch along the beach anywhere between Alder Lane and Coligny Beach Park.

Oscar Frazier Playground
Bring your little train lovers. There’s a train shaped-climbing equipment & more. Restrooms, walking path, covered picnic area, swings, outdoor exercise area and dog-park.
DuBois Playground
This is a favorite! Sweet ship-shaped climbing equipment, swings, restrooms. Within walking distance to restaurants in Bluffton’s downtown. Next to this playground is Martin Family Park which offers a grassy field for play, wooden chairs, picnic tables and more restrooms.
Bluffton Branch Library
In front of the library is a grassy field. Walk along by the panels which tell the story of the fiddler crabs of Calhoun Street.
Wright Park
Oh the views of May River! There’s no playground equipment but instead there’s a boardwalk to May River as well as a grassy field and solitary swing that overlooks the marsh and river. Get ready to swoon over the loveliness of historic The Church of the Cross right across Calhoun Street.
Buckhalter Place Playground
Smack in the middle of shops and restaurants including a Kroger, this park has an open lawn, benches, fenced playground, Veteran’s Memorial.
A favorite part of Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Is. is the Karen Wertheimer Butterfly Habitat but there is even more to explore around the Museum’s peaceful 68-acre property: marsh boardwalks, kids zone, discovery lab, gardens (including carnivorous plants bog garden with Venus, Sundews, and several species of Pitcher plants, each with their own unique method of trapping insects ), Marsh Tacky horses, replica shell ring, nature trail & more.
Toddler Time @ Sandbox Children’s Museum @ Tanger Outlets in Bluffton SC is for children ages 1-3 and their caregiver. Come and explore a staff-led activity in the area of science, art, or music.

Stop by the Karen Wertheimer Butterfly Habitat to see the life cycle of native butterflies and learn from museum docents how to plant a butterfly-friendly garden of your own.
Express yourself – artistically – with hands-on activities offered by the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina and The Sandbox. Make a piece of “Tiny Art” to take home or to share with the Tiny Art Galleries around town (sponsored by the Town of Hilton Head Office of Cultural Affairs). Visit special exhibitions in the Discovery House. “Conservation in the Classroom” (Main Gallery) includes student artwork focused upon the conservation and protection of dolphins, sea turtles, shore birds, and horseshoe crabs. “Nikon Small World” (Sea Island Room) is a traveling exhibition of 20 jaw-dropping, prize-winning photomicrographs (photographs taken through the light of a microscope).
