If you are traveling in multiple vehicles, under one registration, please have your party caravan together prior to entering the car line. There is nowhere to pull over and wait and this will help with keeping the line coming into the Oatland Island for the Halloween Hike moving.
Children and their grown-ups will be immersed in STEAM activities, such as chemistry, engineering, biology, and art, all disguised as magical classes inspired by the beloved book series. Various activities will be led by community partners, including Lowcountry Turners, Callaway Critters, Georgia Southern Center for Wildlife Education, Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital, and Live Oak Public Libraries.

Wag-O-Ween is a pet-friendly community event in downtown Savannah that attracts 2000+ yearly participants. Funds raised help to support local animal rescues, community spay and neuter programs, and support community educational programs.
Participants – dogs and their humans – dress up for and go trick-or-treating throughout the downtown and Starland districts of Savannah with participating businesses.
You’ll need one ticket (wristband) for each dog attending Wag-o-Ween. Each ticket includes a goody bag full of fun for both you and your pet.

Dogs and their owners will be judged on the creativity and originality of their coordinating costumes by a panel of local judges. Contest winners will be awarded prizes.
A $10 participation fee will be collected at the door. All proceeds from the 2nd Annual Costumes on the Woof event will be donated to Renegade Paws Rescue, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care for unwanted, abused or injured dogs and cats in the Coastal Empire and surrounding area.

Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum will transform into a magical Harry Potter-themed experience during “Frogwarts” on Sun. Oct. 16 2022, 11AM-3PM.
This year’s classes will include Wand Making, Potions, Fortune Telling, Defense Against the Dark Arts: Glow in the Dark Fun!, Care of Magical Creatures, Quill Writing, Herbology, Muggle Studies, and Quidditch. Attendees can also take a ride on Georgia State Railroad Museum’s locomotive, the Frogwarts Express, or visit Ingotts Wizarding Bank. Visit the Owlery with Georgia Southern University’s Center for Wildlife Education and enjoy a musical selection from Esther F. Garrison School for the Arts’ Garrison Voices.
Some community partners will also be leading workshops, including Georgia Reptile Society. The Lowcountry Turners will be creating unique wooden wands. Harry-Potter themed food will be available for purchase.
Please dress in any Halloween or Harry Potter-themed costume of your choice!
Cost of admission: $14 per person for non-members; $12 per person for Coastal Heritage Society members.
