Savannah Birth and Baby will host the First Annual Birth and Baby Expo Sat., Nov. 23 2019 at River Drive Crossfit in Savannah.
This FREE Birth and Baby Expo aims to provide resources for pregnant families and new parents.
The Birth and Baby Expo will feature classes, raffle prizes, interactive displays, a lactation lounge, food trucks, and a mimosa bar. As part of the event, Savannah Birth and Baby hopes to bring awareness to many of the under utilized birth and baby professionals in the area. Classes will include babywearing, prenatal yoga, baby massage, infant and newborn sleep, labor comfort measures, birth planning, and cloth diapering. In addition to vendors and classes, the event will be raffling off $10,000 in prizes from local Savannah area business. Any proceeds from the event will be donated to PACK Savannah.
Savannah Birth and Baby is a collective of individuals in the Savannah area that are committed to bringing resources to pregnant women and young families.
Start off Thanksgiving break with a free screening of Free Birds at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center.

12th Annual Tour de Lights Bike Parade on Tybee Island
A fun event on Dec. 14, 2019 6:30-8:30PM where everyone lights up their bikes and golf carts with Christmas themed decorations.
Registration starts at A-J’s that day from 3-6 pm. $25 participation fee will get you appetizers and select drink specials at A-J’s. It also allows you to be judged and a chance to win prizes and bragging rights for best-decorated bike or golf cart.
Bikes and golf carts will be judged for best decorations at A-J’s around 6:30PM. We will then head off for a parade from A-J’s to Tybrisa so that everyone can show off their lights and decorations. After the bike ride, we head back to A-J’s for door prizes, raffles.

St. Andrew’s School on Wilmington Is. in Savannah invites the public to view and participate in a kindness project that is currently on display at the Islands Library, 50 Johnny Mercer Blvd, Savannah.
The collaborative project encourages individuals to pick a “kindness flower” and act on the words written on the leaf. The kindness project began as part of a summer camp at St. Andrew’s taught by parent Lea Lynch and artist Tiffany O’Brien.
“Tiffany created a beautiful display to serve as the backdrop for the project and students created tissue paper flowers with specific acts of kindness written on each stem,” said Lea Lynch. “The project really took off and the St. Andrew’s Lower School wanted to keep the kindness flowers blooming year-round.”
The school’s youngest students create the flowers from colorful tissue paper and the acts of kindness are the last component added before the flowers goes on the display board. Kindness acts range from sharing a smile with someone to taking the time to write and send a thank you note.
“Our students are busy making more flowers to keep up with the demand of people picking the flowers,” said Anne Weisel, Head of the Lower School.
The kindness project board will be at the Islands Library through the month of November. The exhibit travels to the Frank G. Murray Community Center for the month of January.
St. Andrew’s is an independent, International Baccalaureate World School offering the Diploma Program. The school inspires students age three through grade 12.

Summon the Sea! Free Family Day for Savannah/Chatham County offers a fun-filled afternoon of informal learning, music, hands on activities, and presentations on marine ecology.
