This class will focus on proper stretching technique and extensive strength training to complete all required jump positions. About Music of Savannah

Each new session brings new music and there are 9 wonderful Music Together collections in all. A typical class has 10 children and 10 parents, but grandparents and caregivers are welcome. Both parents are also welcome to attend a class.

Class begins in a circle group. Miss Kathy plays the guitar. Class proceeds to playing eggs, sticks, drums. Out comes the parachute for extra fun. Class proceeds to a dance or two – all on your feet.

Back to the floor for the play along ( a large collection of child safe instruments comes out and Music Together of Savannah has a full group play-along and social time). More singing and cute chants after that; then out come the scarves.

At the end of class, lights are dimmed, out come Teddy’s for a loving lullaby, goodbye song, and then a visit if you can stay.

Children are encouraged to touch and play the guitar or ukulele (with supervision) after class.

Your children are NOT required to sit still in class. Music Together believes that children will express themselves in a group class in their OWN way. Some may sit with parent, some may go to the middle to participate.

Do-Re-We Infant Open House in Savannah

If you have an infant aged 0 – 12 months, you are invited to join us for an infant open house this Wednesday Sept. 12, 9:30 – 10AM at Buckingham South. This intergenerational class connects families with young children to “Grandfriends” living in Buckingham South, the beautiful assisted-living facility on Abercorn, just south of DeRenne.

Fall Ball with Lowcountry Lacrosse in Savannah is a skills and drills lacrosse league for beginners and intermediate players.

This is a fantastic introduction to lacrosse and is a great way for those intermediate players to keep the stick in their hands and gain more confidence!

Players are grouped according to age and skill and coaches will stress fundamentals, mechanics, and basic game IQ with plenty of games to keep the intensity and excitement at a maximum.

STEM & Maker Fest @ The Sandbox Children’s Museum, Hilton Head Is. Sept. 22, 2018

Come tinker, create, innovate, and celebrate at The Sandbox Children’s Museum.

Enjoy a few hours of exploring, tinkering and making with STEM related demonstrations, a tinkering/making station and bounce houses.

This is an event where all ages can experiment and learn together.

Admission: $12 per person/$7 per person for members; $10 for seniors and active military, up to 12 months free

Museum Admission and access to all exhibits including the museum’s newest, “The Shadow Wall”
Craft projects
STEM related demonstrations (including a LEGO demonstration by Chris Sudduth), Filtering Light Demo and Magic Milk Demo
Fix-It Clinic
I3 (Imagine.Invent.Inspire.) Makerspace
Bounce houses and a mini train ride!
Facepainting
Family games and activities (Corn Hole, mini walking stilts, big blue building blocks, etc)

“Island Explorer” Corner: Excavation Station, Spin the Wheel (Everyone’s a winner!) and Friends from The Coastal Discovery Museum.
And also included, a visit from “Captain Jack Sparrow” and a scavenger hunt. 11AM-1PM
