Dress up your little princesses & heroes for Disney on Ice this weekend in Savannah
We checked out the opening night of Disney On Ice Princesses & Heroes in Savannah & fell in love! Not just with the lively show featuring all your favorite Disney princesses in skates and your kids’ favorite Disney songs, but also with all the kids in the audience dressed up as their favorite princesses & heroes.
My kids favorites were the 7 dwarfs on skates & the rising Cinderella Pumpkin carriage. For those with sensitive kids, there are some pyrotechnics during the early part of the second half of the show (after intermission) during the Sleeping Beauty dragon part & some fireworks at the show end.
If you go this weekend, don’t forget to seek out Cinderella’s Pumpkin Carriage in the Savannah Civic Center lobby. It was brought to life courtesy of the talented Sculpture Forum at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). The group has been working on the creation since last week on the SCAD campus in Boundary Hall.
The pumpkin, which came from the Savannah State Farmer’s Market, was 80” in circumference and 3 ft. tall when delivered to the students.
Disney on Ice is at the Savannah Civic Center October 31 – November 3, 2013.
