After a two-year COVID hiatus, this year’s festival will feature athletes, pipe bands, highland dancers, border collies, historic reenactors, Scottish vendors, Celtic musicians, and clans.

SCAD students and alumni compete to dazzle spectators and judges for a chance to win one of several awards.

This event, presented by the SCAD School of Foundation Studies, is free and open to the public for attendance. Registration to participate is open to SCAD students only through Fri. April 29.

Here’s a fun, fit, affordable summer spots camp hosted by the Recreation and Wellness Department at Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong Campus in Savannah.
Kids will participate in a variety of activities to include; basketball, flag football, kickball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, tag games, and nutritional and environmental presentations!
Camp hours are 8:30AM to 3:30PM (Extended Care until 5 pm) and for ages 6 to 12.

Applications are now being accepted for teens (8th-12th grade students) interested in joining Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s team and gain valuable volunteer experience while developing a deeper understanding of wildlife and environmental conservation.
Learn about Oatland’s animal collection and share your knowledge through outreach programs and various events as you sharpen your public speaking and workplace skills.
The Oatland Wildlife Leaders program (OWL) is offered to rising 8th through 12th graders. This multi-year, progressive program builds on material with each session. Each session lasts 6 weeks and meets weekly on Thursday afternoons from 3:45- 5:30PM. OWL participants are expected to complete the first two 6- week sessions. Once the certificate of completion has been earned, the option to advance to the third session is available.

The Summer Programs at Royce provide supplemental, specialized educational and enrichment services to all families who request them regardless of income.
Royce instructors address the academic and social needs of students from Savannah-area schools who require additional, often specialized academic support, to be successful in school.
Summer School is a five-week morning program designed to strengthen academic skills and provide an opportunity for academic learning which prevents “Summer-Slide.”
It is an excellent opportunity to refresh skills and prepare for the new school year as small classes focus on reading, language arts, writing, math, and study skills.
Enrichment Camp is a five-week afternoon experience focusing on character building, communication and social skills along with time for summer reading lists, games, team building and more.
Study Skills is a program designed to help students in 6th – 12th grades learn to study efficiently and effectively, leading to greater success in school
