Micro U4-U8 Program

Micro players (U4, U5, U6, U7, U8) make up the largest number of participants in US soccer. Because this is entry level for a lot of children, Savannah United views this program as the grassroots of the club. To ensure players develop a love for the ’beautiful game’, we make sure it is run in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Practices are geared towards individual skill and coordination development.

Micro Program teams can train at any of the facilities available to us around the City including but not limited to The Jennifer Ross Soccer Complex, Ambuc, Daffin Park Bee Road, Wilmington Island, and Ottawa Farms Soccer Field in Bloomingdale. Games are played at one of three locations – The Jennifer Ross Complex on Sallie Mood, Wilmington Island, and Ottawa Farms in Bloomingdale (you can select your preference when registering).

Registration deadline

The registration deadline for the SPRING 2016 Micro Soccer season is February 23 2016. Any registration after that date will incur a LATE FEE of $15 and the player will be placed onto a waiting list (and not guaranteed a place in the program)**

Recreation Program U10-U14

Each team plays 6 games during the regular season and are then seeded into a playoff bracket to decide the Champions. Girls and Boys teams play separately. Teams practice once or twice a week and training sessions last between 60 – 90 minutes.

Early Goals/Toddler Soccer

Registration for Savannah United Soccer‘s Spring 2016 Early Goals Toddler Soccer will begin in late February 2016 with sessions starting in late March 2016.

Savannah United will post the Early Goals/toddler soccer schedule on Friday Feb. 19 and have registrations open on Monday Feb 22 at 10AM. The spots typically go quickly.

Spots are first come, first served.

Early Goals will be offered for players ages 30 months to 4 years old throughout the area this Spring including in Savannah, Wilmington Is., Pooler, Rincon, Bloomingdale, Richmond Hill.

Sign up your child for Youth Roller Hockey in Savannah at the outdoor Lake Mayer hockey rink.

Savannah Coastal Swim League (SCSL) offers competitive youth swimming in Savannah/Chatham County, Richmond Hill, Wilmington Island and Pooler during early summer.

The league consists of 10 teams, encompassing more than 800 swimmers, including: Grand Lake Sharks, Isle of Hope Sharks, JEA Tornadoes, Landings Lightning Bolts, Mayfair Marlins, Richmond Hill Wildcats, Savannah Golf Club Stingrays, Savannah Quarters Sailfish, Savannah Yacht Club Commodores and Wilmington Park Barracudas.

Some of the teams (such as JEA Tornados & Savannah Quarters Sailfish) do not require club membership to participate.

+ Every player in the U6 and U8 age groupings will need a new uniform this spring

Between the recreational and the micro programs, Savannah United is moving the players into a standard uniform package – same package for every player on every team. Each player on each team will get a LIGHT BLUE and a LIME jersey. This will help simplify the process as players may shift between teams from fall to spring and year to year.

The game schedule will details which uniform to wear. One team will wear LIGHT BLUE and the other will wear the LIME, the schedule will make it clear who is to wear which color.

Each team can wear whichever color socks, shorts, shoes as they wish.

PLAYING

+ No games on April 4th

The Savannah Tire Hockey Classic is this week – Jan. 15-17 – at the Savannah Civic Center with family discounts & kids-free night.

Patriot Golf Day was started by Captain Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot and PGA of America member to fund Folds of Honor, which provides post-secondary scholarships for families of military killed or disabled while serving our great nation.

The Club at Savannah Harbor, a Troon Golf facility will be hosting the Patriot Golf Days on Monday, August 25th thru Monday, September 1st. The weekend promises tons of fun: food and beverage specials, contests, and special rates, as well as a Flag Ceremony Saturday at 9am. Please come out and support our local military.

As always, Kids Play Free with accompanying paid adult. Rental clubs available for adults and kids; adult size shoes available.

Putting Contest with a hole in one prize
Friday, August 29th from 1-5 pm
Saturday, August 30th from 9 am – 1 pm
Compete to win a twosome at Savannah Harbor. Entry fee is $1 and all proceeds go to the Folds of Honor Foundation. Non-golfers are welcome to participate!

American Flag Ceremony
Saturday, August 30th at 9 am
Join us in honoring our soldiers and local heroes with a special ceremony. The Savannah Pipe and Drum Corps will be performing during the ceremony playing bag pipes, and local Boy Scouts Troop will perform the Colorguard.
$55 Golf
The Club is offering a special reduced rate of $55, which includes your cart and greens fees, with a minimum donation of $5 to the Folds of Honor Foundation.
