Assign a water watcher.
Even if there is a lifeguard present, the water watcher is a designated person who’s role is to observe the children’s activity while in or around the pool. Together we can have a safer swimming summer.

Rebekah Laurance, a dietician with SouthCoast Health in Savannah, recently spoke with WSAV television about the prevalence of food allergies in children.

Laurance explained how to spot food allergy sensitivities and shared tips on what to do if a child has an allergic reaction. Additionally, she suggested introducing children to a wide variety of foods while they’re young in an effort to keep allergies from developing.
