New arts classes begin April 4 2022. Favorites like ceramics, mixed media, and dance choreography are returning for ages 6 through teen, plus there are new classes including Parent / Child Movement for ages 2-3, Pre-Ballet for ages 4-5, and songwriting for teens, a great next step for our guitar students, but no music experience is necessary!

Give your body and your mind a workout! In addition to being just plain fun, juggling builds hand-eye coordination, improves reflexes, spatial awareness, and concentration. Over the course of the two workshops, instructor Matthew Adams will walk students through the basic steps and rhythms of juggling, building confidence as well as athletic ability. This is your chance to learn a fun and rewarding hobby.
Mondays Feb. 7 & 14 2020, 5:30-7PM. This workshop is open to ages 12-16 and is $20 for both weeks of the workshop.
Telfair Museums offers fee-based afterschool classes or workshops each fall and winter, plus daytime summer camps for children K–12. Afterschool classes for students have included drawing, portfolio builders, and videogame design.

Digital Photography Class
Ages 12–16

Develop your young person’s skills as a photographer. All young people are artists. With that in mind, this class will approach photography as professionals do, studying the Elements of Art. Keeping a social distance, the camp will meet outside as much as possible as we explore our environment in Telfair Square and other nearby locations. Students will learn the ins and outs of the professional audition process. From material selection and acting technique to resume creation and audition room etiquette, students will be prepared for auditions for community theatre, audition-based arts schools, school plays, and more!
4-Week Intensive
Improv Games | Ages 6-10 | Tuesdays, 5-6pm
Ignite creativity with this fun introduction to the stage! Improv games will be used to explore elements of theater, acting, and teamwork essential to every actor’s toolbox. In the last class, friends and family will be invited to attend a final showcase! This class is open to all levels.
8-Week Series.
Shakespeare Scene Study | Ages 12-14 | Thursdays, 5:30-6:30pm
Jump into one of Shakespeare’s works in a rehearsal room setting. Beginning with reading and discussing the play, students will have the opportunity to select scenes and/or monologues to research, direct, and perform for a final showcase. This class prepares students for a professional rehearsal room in a fun and welcoming space, open to all levels of theater experience.
8-Week Series.
All classes take place at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center, 201 Montgomery St. Reduced class fees are available for students on free and reduced lunch through the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.
Volunteer Training @ Pegasus Riding Academy Savannah this Sat. Jan. 8
Pegasus Riding Academy in Savannah is a therapeutic riding program providing safe, professional and ethical equine assisted activities for individuals with physical, mental or emotional disabilities.
Volunteers are needed to assist these special children.
