YMCA of Coastal Georgia is hiring lifeguards at branches locations with pools. Free lifeguard certification classes offered with a commitment from the applicant to work through the summer. Those interested should ask the staff at their preferred branch for information on applying and getting certified.

Is your teen looking for a summer job in the Savannah area?

Chatham Aquatic Center in Savannah offers in-person American Red Cross Lifeguard certification classes for those interested in working as lifeguards. For ages 15+.

Classes provide entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Students will also learn to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
