Year-Round Swim Lessons with British Swim School of Savannah

Year-Round Swim Instruction with British Swim School of Savannah

For most parents, summer seems like the perfect time for their kids to learn how to swim and practice water safety, as water resides in almost every environment we vacate to during the warmest months of the year. However, what happens when their swim lessons end and it’s time for school and other extracurricular activities to begin?

For kids who take swim lessons over the summer, continuing into the school year will help them maintain their strong water safety and swim skills so they’re prepared for water-related emergencies and the following summer season. For parents whose kids are enrolling in swim lessons for the first time, consider the benefits of year-round instruction when signing them up!

Sign up for year-round swim lessons at britishswimschool.com/programs

(Savannah schools) Aspire Savannah: a private school for ages 5.5-13

Thursday, September 12th, 2024

Aspire Savannah private school offers lower, upper elementary & middle school

Aspire Savannah’s founder reflects here in “How does the classroom feel?” on the fact what you measure tells a lot about what is meaningful to you. What is meaningful to you dictates a lot about your classroom atmosphere.

At Aspire Savannah private school in Savannah’s Isle of Hope neighborhood, their studios are different from a traditional classroom. They are less bureaucratic and more personalized. There are fewer learners, more freedom of choice, and more customization of content. This alone makes our atmosphere an alternative to traditional school.

Read more here.

Aspire Savannah is an independent, private learner-led environment in Savannah.

At Aspire Savannah, the focus is on cultivating a love of learning and becoming an expert learner by being actively involved in the learning process.

The school serves ages 5.5-13 for the 2024-25 school year.

Learn more about the school here

(Pictured below: SURF (Silent Uninterrupted Reading for Fun). That is when Aspire Savannah students take a break and read a book of choice. It’s an ideal time for older learners to practice good time management and select a book that will count toward their “Deep Book” requirement. )

In contrast, an inquiry-based classroom – like that @ Aspire Savannah – promotes a student-centered approach, fostering a teaching style that is more exploratory.

Savannah Swim Lessons with British Swim School of Savannah

Life is busy, and distractions happen, but so can drowning—in mere seconds. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children 1-4, with over 70% happening during non-swim times. Protect your loved ones by learning these essential layers:

1️⃣ Barriers & Alarms: Fencing, gates, covers, and alarms prevent unsupervised access.

2️⃣ Supervision: Always have a water watcher. Stay vigilant and close.

3️⃣ Water Competency: Equip everyone with water safety skills. Start lessons early.

4️⃣ Life Jackets: Wear USCG-approved life jackets around open water.

5️⃣ Emergency Preparation: Learn CPR and rescue skills. Training saves lives.

Studies show that formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by as much as 88%.

Visit BritishSwimSchool.com/Savannah/ to learn more about their swm lessons, survival-focused program and find a nearby location!
