In this musical playdate, all our songs and activities will center around LOVE, and how we can share and express it through the joy of music. Get ready for some cuddles, kisses, and hugs with your favorite little person!
Parents and children together will engage with instruments, singing, moving, dancing, story time, and more musical activities in this exciting one-time Kindermusik class.
For ages 0-7 and their caregiver.

Train rides in February 2026: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm Friday, February 13th through Monday, February 16th.
Train rides in March 2026: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm Wednesday, March 18th through Sunday, March 22nd and Wednesday March 25th-Sunday March 29th.
Train rides in April -July 2026: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm Wednesdays-Sundays.
Georgia State Railroad Museum is one of six Savannah historical sites operated by Coastal Heritage Society. Train rides and admission are free for Coastal Heritage Society members. $125 for an annual family pass includes unlimited admission to all six sites. Become a member here.

Archery*: Hour-long slots available during the hours listed. Learn the basics of archery and test your skills on the range. This program will cover basic safety and technique. Equipment provided. Participants must be at least 10 years old. $10 per person. Please call (912) 598-2300 to reserve your hour in advance. Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in at the archery range.
Bee Mine Quilling Card*: Learn the art of quilling while making a personalized keepsake-quality greeting card for your special someone. All materials provided including tools, card, embellishments, and envelope. Instruction provided. $8 per person.
Build a Birdfeeder*: Birdfeeders provide an energeƟc boost to the diets of local and migraƟng birds looking for a hearty meal. Make your own hanging birdfeeder. Meet behind the Visitor Center at the picnic tables. Materials provided. $3 per person.
Jewels of the Marsh: Diamondback Terrapins: The diamondback terrapin is the only turtle that lives specifically in brackish water. It is a keystone species in the saltmarsh ecosystem. Come join us for a closer look at this jewel of the marsh. Meet in the Interpretive Center for a 30-minute program and see our two live diamondback terrapins.
Plant ID Hike: Join a ranger for a 1-mile hike to view, identify, and learn about the native plants that grow in our park and the surrounding area. Meet at the Sandpiper Trail.
Read with a Ranger: Young children and their families will enjoy getting out for this hour of interactive reading. Listen to nature stories perfect for children with a love of the outdoors. Meet at the Interpretive Center.
Roving Ranger: A ranger will be roving the trails to answer your questions about local flora, fauna, and more.
Scrappy Sculptures – Birds: Soar to unknown heights and learn how to transform upcycled materials into a beautiful keepsake sculpture. All materials and instruction provided. $5 per person.
Skidaway Scavengers: Are you a keen observer? Finding the beauty in nature is its own reward, but today you have a chance to earn an additional prize. Stop by the Visitor Center to receive your instructions then head out to explore!
Snakes of Skidaway: Come by the Interpretive Center to learn all about one of our ambassador snakes. You will have the opportunity to meet and touch the snake while you learn about its behavior, habitat, and more!
Sweethearts Archery: You don’t have to be in love, but it helps! Join us for a super sweet archery event. Hour long slots available in the morning and afternoon. Sweet deal: $10 for 1 person, $16 for 2 people. This program will cover basic safety and technique. Equipment provided. Participants must be at least 10 years old. Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in at the archery range.
Unboxing the Box Turtle: Come meet some of our most elusive residents, the box turtles, and learn about their habits and amazing characteristics. Meet in the Interpretive Center.

Savannah’s Massie Heritage Center, in collaboration with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Southern Breeze Region, will host “Process to Print,” a dynamic pop-up exhibition in celebration of Black History Month 2026.
This special exhibition runs Feb. 2-28 2026 and highlights the creativity, process, and storytelling of African American illustrators whose work continues to inspire readers and artists across generations.
Each participating illustrator will be featured on a banner showcasing their biography and step-by-step creative process—from concept sketch to published illustration.
The exhibition runs February 2–28, 2026, with paid museum admission.
In partnership with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS), the program will include school visits, a juried student art and writing competition, and community outreach to encourage young creators to see themselves reflected in the stories they read and the art they create.

New Program:Wiggles & Wonders is dedicated to 2-4 yo and we will be focusing on the whole-child development.
Not only will we work on gymnastics, but we will be adding some music time, sensory stations and fun games. The goal is to get the kids ready to go to daycare or preschool, help them socialize with peers and gain a bit of independence from Mom and Dad.

The SCAD School of Film and Acting presents 9 to 5, the live musical based on the seminal hit 1980 movie of the same name with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick.

About 1 in 5 unvaccinated people who contract measles will require hospitalization.
In rare but tragic cases, 1 to 3 out of every 1,000 infected children may die.
Measles can weaken the immune system, leaving children more vulnerable to other infections like subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE), a rare but fatal brain disorder that can appear years after recovery.
