In addition to free entry into the Savannah Children’s Museum, children will also enjoy performances, zumba and stretching, a hydration less with water bottle rocket launches, and a healthy habits scavenger hunt! Plus, enjoy many local vendors, face painting, a trail mix station, an affirmation bracelet station, and more!
The first 150 children at the event will receive a FREE T-shirt and other fun goodies.

Attention homeschool families: You’re invited to Homeschool Afternoons Thurs. March 9 2023 @ Savannah Children’s Museum from 1 – 3PM for an afternoon designed especially for homeschool families.
Students and their adults will participate in an Ocean Noise Program led by Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Educators, followed by open exploration at Savannah Children’s Museum.

Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character in honor of the children’s book author. The event will take place from 10 am to 1pm at Savannah Children’s Museum, 655 Louisville Rd. Savannah, GA 31401.
Our museum educators will lead the group with Seuss stories, games and activities. Dancing Oobleck, fantastical arts and crafts, and a rhyming scavenger hunt maze are only a few of the fun activities in which families can participate. Come climb on and explore the vehicles that build and protect our community at Pooler MOPS 5th annual Touch a Truck, Sat. Feb. 25, 2023, 10AM-2PM at the Pooler Recreation Center. (Raindate is Sat. March 4, 2023) Admission: $5 per person with a maximum of $20 per household. Children younger than 2 are free.
There will be bounce houses and a raffle table with various items from many local businesses. Raffle tickets will be available at the event for $1 per ticket. Every family will receive one free raffle ticket with admission. (Cash and Card accepted at the raffle table). All proceeds benefit Pooler Mothers of Preschoolers.
Food trucks will also be in attendance. Expect some special surprises this year for this big 5-year celebration.
“Horn-Free Time”** will be from 10-10:45AM. You can experience all the fun of Touch a Truck without loud music, horns and sirens. (Please note organizers work hard to keep this first 45 minutes as quiet as possible; however, there are things beyond their control that still lead to noise. Take time to unleash your creativity in Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center studios every Saturday and Sunday between 10AM and 2PM for artmaking projects for all ages.
Work at your own pace and comfort level through an array of creative mediums such as watercolors, collage, calligraphy, origami, coloring books and much more.
Each month features a special project designed to connect with an exhibition at the museum. A studio assistant is always on hand to answer questions and assist guests.
Drop-In Studio is perfect for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

About the Artist:
Jennifer Mack-Watkins is a contemporary visual artist whose artistic aesthetic draws from a confluence of reference points, most of which include her Japanese Mokuhanga printmaking techniques and her culturally rich southern roots. Her work has been acquired at prominent institutions including the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, Library of Congress, The Met, The Getty Archives and she has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Vogue and Essence. Jennifer holds a bachelor of arts in BA in studio arts from Morris Brown College, an MAT from Tufts University, and an MFA in Printmaking from Pratt Institute and is on the Board of Trustees at the Brattleboro museum. In 2022, Mack-Watkins completed her first children’s book illustration for Kokila/Random House titled You Gotta Meet Mr. Pierce!
