Let your little ones explore their creative side in these exciting art classes at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center! In Discovering Art and Adventures in Art, young artists are invited to expand their creativity with a variety of fun art projects! Both 2-D and 3-D mediums will be covered, including working with clay, pastels, paint, and collage.
Discovering Art is a class for ages 6-8. Adventures in Art is a class for ages 9-12.
These classes will begin on Oct. 21 2023and run Saturdays from 9-10AM 5 Sessions: 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11 and 11/18.
These classes take place at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center located at 201 Montgomery St.

Once a month, Telfair Museums’ youngest patrons are invited to the Jepson Center for Art Start, which includes story time, a special tour, and an art activity.

We also have two newly updated Miniature Golf courses for you and your crew. Telfair Museums will celebrate the conclusion of the Community in Conversation: Legacy of Slavery in Savannah initiative with a Free Family Day on Sat. Oct. 14 2023 from 10AM to 5PM,
Visitors can enjoy free admission to all three of Telfair Museums’ sites (Jepson Center, Telfair Academy, and the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters) as well as special programs and activities at the Jepson Center.
The festivities will include live local performances, engagement with community partner organizations, and curator-led tours of the art exhibitions Richmond Barthé: Harlem Renaissance Sculptor, Created Beasts: Sculpture by Ulysses Davis, and the Telfair Academy. Art activities for all ages will take place from 1-4pM along with treats provided by Savannah Square Pops.
The day of fun will conclude with a family-friendly puppet parade around Telfair Square.

If you are traveling in multiple vehicles, under one registration, please have your party caravan together prior to entering the car line. There is nowhere to pull over and wait and this will help with keeping the line coming into the Oatland Island for the Halloween Hike moving.
Public school students and their parents are invited to a College Admissions Fair this Saturday Oct. 14 2023 @ Savannah Arts Academy in the school cafeteria, 2-4PM.
Admissions counselors from 14 regional and national programs will be in attendance. Arts oriented students from other local public schools are welcome as well.
This event is free and open to all public school arts-oriented students from Savannah-Chatham public schools as well as nearby public school districts.
