Join us at the Jepson Center to develop your young person’s skills as a photographer. We believe that all young people are artists. With that in mind, we will approach photography as professionals do, studying the elements of art. The camp will meet outside as much as possible as we explore our environment in Telfair Square and other nearby locations. We will use DSLR digital cameras and learn about exposure, and a few historical methods involving film. Photography is fun and accessible to everyone.
Starting on Sept. 3, Savannah Children’s Museum will be open Wednesday-Sunday 9AM-3PM. Currently the all-outdoor museum is open summer hours 9AM-2PM Monday-Saturday.

Save the date for Frogwarts 2023 on Sun. Oct. 15. Georgia State Railroad Museum transforms into a magical Harry Potter-themed experience during the annual “Frogwarts” events. Children and their grownups are immersed in STEAM activities, such as chemistry, engineering, biology, and art, all disguised as magical classes inspired by the beloved book series. Details TBA.

A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, Jamerson creates colorful artwork that is known for its heart imagery and positive messages.
The fountain at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park will host daily interactive Fountain Shows at 3PM and 7PM, featuring music by The Beach Boys, Chicago and Sheryl Crow.
Children are welcome to wear their bathing suits and to play in the fountain.

Discover music with the violin! Violin Explorations introduces children to the smallest member of the string family: The Violin.
Learn through games, songs, practice and repetition of one skill at a time. This class will cover: parts of the violin, how to hold the violin and bow, how to use the bow and pluck strings, basic rhythms and melodies, basic music reading including staff and notes.
Two classes are offered, one for ages 4-6 years and one for ages 7-10.
