Playdate week has arrived!
This week kicks off July monthly playdates at Kindermusik Savannah with 88 Keys Piano.
The theme is “Backyard Bugs!”, so bring your 0-7 year olds to experience, through the joy of music, movement, instruments, singing, stories and more, as we celebrate our familiar critter friends!

On Saturday, July 15 at 10AM, the SCAD Museum of Art will open its courtyard to Savannah moms looking to get fit in a unique outdoor space, surrounded by the beautiful ruins of an antebellum train station.
This “Stroller Strides” session will be led by Ashley Youngblood, instructor and owner of Savannah’s FIT4MOM. This exercise session will last an hour, and the first class is free to newcomers.
At 11:15AM, this session will be followed by a guided tour of the SCAD Museum’s galleries reserved just for caregivers and children in strollers. Participation in fitness class is not required to take part in this tour.
Discounted admission of $5. The tour will last 45 minutes to 1 hour. Street and garage parking nearby.

Savannah Children’s Museum will present Splash Fest 2017, the annual summer event to cool down and have fun while learning about Savannah’s coast and marine life on Sat. July 22, 9AM-2PM at Savannah Children’s Museum, 655 Louisville Rd., Savannah, GA 31401.
Event guests can see and learn about Terrapin turtles from Armstrong University, discover the many creatures that inhabit our waterways with the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium, and participate in programming to see why it’s important to keep the natural environment pollution free with Clean Coast. Visitors can share a photo from our “Under the Sea” Selfie Station, featuring fun costumes and props using #scmsplashfest.
Savannah Children’s Museum educators will also lead fun and interactive aquatic activities throughout the day.
You’re encouraged to check out “Ships Ahoy,” Savannah Children’s Museum’s new STEAM-based nautical exhibit that teaches children about navigation, ship technology, and visual perspective.
Stay hydrated and bring sun protection, as Savannah Children’s Museum site is entirely outdoors. Snacks or a packed lunch are welcome and can be enjoyed on Sugar Beet Bluff, located directly outside of the Children’s Museum.
Admission to Splash Fest is included in the cost of regular admission to Savannah Children’s Museum, $7.50 for all guests 18 months and older. This event is free for Coastal Heritage Society members.

Fall 2017 registration is now open for Do-Re-We early childhood music education classes in Savannah
Register online here for the Fall 2017 session that runs Sept. 11-Nov. 20 2017.
Do-Re-We music & movement sessions incorporate the philosophy Zoltan Kodály with early childhood learning theory and methodology.
Each week, you and your child will spend 30 minutes engaging in songs, bounces, games, and music-making classes tailored to her development level. While you giggle, dance, and sing, your baby will be developing early skills vital to healthy brain development.
Your instructor, Rebecca Flaherty, is a classically-trained musician with a master’s degree in voice performance, and Kodály I certification.
