Come visit Savannah Children’s Museum for the launch of WEE PLAY Wednesday, a new program that engages the littlest explorers in child development activities with their parent or caregiver.

The program includes storytimes; a make & take craft; music & movement activities. All participants are encouraged to bring their own snack for an extra storytime picnic at the end of the program. All activities will take place in Savannah Children’s Museum’s Baggage Car unless otherwise noted.

WEE PLAY Wednesdays are FREE for members and FREE with the price of regular admission, $7.50 per person over the age of 18 months.

FREE PULSE Art & Technology Festival

One of Telfair Museums’ most exciting events, the PULSE Art + Technology Festival, returns for its twelfth year with artworks highlighting virtual and augmented reality, engaging lectures and performances and a special film screening that celebrates women in engineering.

This interactive and wildly inventive event for all ages, PULSE takes place at the Jepson Center from January 17-21, 2018.

PULSE will include an evening focused on STEAM education with a free, all-ages screening of the new documentary film Dream Big, which highlights female engineers making the world a better place.

Avery Bang, a distinguished engineer featured in the film, will participate in a question and answer panel after the screening. Elementary through college-age students can also enjoy two free morning programs of exciting presentations and dialogue with creatives working in tech fields from VR to coding and video games.

PULSE kids’ highlights include:

The Ninja Warrior Kids program is created to give kids a fun approach to fitness as they work on strength, conditioning, flexibility, problem solving, and coordination as they overcome obstacles designed for their skill levels.

LITTLE CHEER CLASS

Little Cheer is designed for children ages 3-6. This class will develop coordination and body control. It will also focus on the fundamentals of tumbling including cartwheels, front rolls, backbends, backbend kick overs, and more. This class is a great way for younger individuals to get started in cheerleading.

December Kindermusik classes

New December themes begin next week. Mondays will start “On the Town with Bear” and Tuesdays will do “Outside My Window”. Classes open to ages 0-7 and their caregivers. December classes will meet for 3 weeks only.
