Parents wanting to keep their kids active during spring break can bring them by the museum for a daily activity. These one hour programs are offered each day of the week at 10:15 a.m.
Advanced registration encouraged but not required; class size is limited to 12 participants.

Each day student will view, discuss, and recreate the great works form the Uffizi collection. In the studio students will make their own paint, work with gold leaf, paint their own family portraits, and more. All materials provided.

We are so thrilled about these kids’ summer pottery camps at Savannah’s Clay Spot.

Each pottery camp is weekly held, Mon-Friday, 9:00 am- 12:00 noon beginning June 3-August 16th 2013.

Pottery Camps are designed for all ages of kids. Weeks alternate between a younger group and an older group and there is a special preschool age camp happening Aug. 12-16.

Each child will get a great introduction to pottery wheel and projects are designed to include both wheel throwing and hand building construction techniques.

If parents register beginning now until May 1st, they get a 15% discount. If parents register for both a Pottery Camp at Savannah’s Clay Spot and a Summer Art Camp at Scribble Art studio they can get a 20% discount off of each camp. Only one discount applies.

The City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting registrations for its Spring Break Art Camp, which takes place April 1 – 5, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Cultural Affairs, located at 9 West Henry St. The full-day camp will offer children ages 5-12 an introduction to painting, ceramics, mixed media and performing arts in age-appropriate group settings.

The fee of $135 includes all materials and is limited to the person listed on the registration form. Full payment is due upon enrollment. Credit cards, checks, money orders and cash are accepted.

Space is limited and advance registration is required. Children 5 years of age must currently be enrolled in kindergarten. Registration forms are available online at www.savannahga.gov/arts .

Day and evening sessions are offered for children, teens, and adults in all skill levels. Sessions began Feb. 18 and run through March 29 and are held at the Department of Cultural Affairs located at 9 W. Henry St., Savannah.

What Oatland animal loves the springtime? You’ll have rabbits on your mind during this holiday time; so why not have one in the classroom? We have a warm and fuzzy time learning about these lovely little lagomorphs, so hop on over to Oatland for this TT event.

*the Tuesday Toddler Tunes (ages 18 m. – 2 1/2) class at 11 AM and

*the Music Makers (ages 3-5) class on Wednesdays at 11 AM.

Check out Lowcountry Real Diaper Circle which is part of The Real Diaper Association, a collective non-profit organization in which parents and small businesses take the lead in creating a cultural shift to increase the use of simple, reusable cloth diapers.

The Real Diaper Association connects current cloth diapering parents to the long history of cloth diapering. Cloth diapers are real diapers. The Association organizes local advocates and activists for cloth diapers through a member-supported resource center which plans campaigns, trains organizers, distributes educational information, supports local groups, and connects users to the Cloth Diaper industry.

Local Real Diaper Circles such as the Lowcountry Real Diaper Circle reach users face-to-face with knowledge and tools to make cloth diapering accessible and acceptable to U.S. parents, who have the power to change the world one baby at a time.
