Professional photos will be taken, and parents are welcome to take photos with their own camera as well.

Nutrition is also discussed as the basis of athletic performance and health within a supportive community. For CFK, it is imperative to pair fitness and fun, to create a lifelong love of health and fitness for our children.

Ages:
CF Hyperformance offers progressive classes for: elementry school (ages 5-10), middle school (ages 11 – 14), and teens (14-17). Kids classes last 30-45 minutes. Research has found there is optimal learning capacity of the brain for 20-40 minutes after exercise. Crossfit strongly encourages athletes to use the time directly after class for study sessions.

In Georgia, a dozen state parks have planned guided hikes where people can connect with nature and even re-connect with each other. The nationwide event is sponsored by America’s State Parks, with New Year’s Day hikes being led in all 50 states.

Kicking off the New Year with an invigorating hike fits into the mission of the Georgia State Parks Tons of Fun Initiative: to encourage citizens to lead healthier lifestyles through outdoor recreation. The TonsofFun.org website includes exercise ideas, healthy recipes, nutritionist and personal trainer advice, and more.

FREE INTRODUCTORY CLASS Tuesday December 6 and December 13, AT 9:30 am

JumpBunch is offering a 10 week session beginning on January 3- Mar 6. The class offered will be Tuesday morning at 9:30 am located at Coastal Cathedral at 275 Berwick Blvd. in Berwick.

The cost for the 10 weeks is only $85 (JumpBunch offers a military discount of 10$ off)

Each week, JumpBunch offers a cardio workout, muscle resistance training and introduces a new sport activity in a fun, hands-on, non-competitive environment. At this stage, the goal is to build confidence and coordination.

Some of the fun sports offered are: Lacrosse, Hockey, Football, Soccer, Bowling, Kickball, Cheerleading and parachute games and best of all equipment for each class will be available for each child. No equipment to buy!!

JumpBunch offers a Mommy and Me class, Toddler and Preschool curriculum.

Celebrate this holiday season with Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang at Savannah Children’s Theatre!

Featuring Lucy, Schroeder, Snoopy, Linus & his blankie, Patty, and of course, Charlie Brown as well as other memorable characters. Kids will love Snoopy masked as the Red Baron and lots of song and dance. S.P.A.C.E. Visual Arts Classes Now Registering in Savannah
Fiber weaving, sculpture and stained glass box making among new offerings

Savannah’s Place for Art, Culture and Education (S.P.A.C.E.) is now registering students for its winter/spring visual arts classes and workshops. Day and evening sessions are offered for children, teens and adults in all skill levels. Sessions begin January 7 and are held at the Department of Cultural Affairs S.P.A.C.E. studios, located at 9 W. Henry St.

Six week classes are available, as well as weekend workshops. Visual arts sessions include ceramics, metals, glass, fibers, painting and drawing. New offerings include a loom making and fiber weaving, sculpture, parent and teen wheel-throwing and a stained glass box making workshop.

Class fees include instruction, use of studio space, use of equipment and all materials and tools required. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Credit cards are accepted. Registration forms are available online at www.savannahga.gov/arts  or by calling (912) 651-6783.
