Research shows that 8 to 10 percent of American children under 18 years of age have some type of learning disability.
Children with learning disabilities are as smart or smarter than their peers, but they may have difficulty reading, writing, spelling, reasoning, recalling and/or organizing information if left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways. St. Andrew’s School choral students participated in the 5th annual Folds of Honor Golf Tournament on Wilmington Island in Savannah.
They sang “America the Beautiful” and “The Star-Spangled Banner” to kick off fund raising event.
Folds of Honor, a 501C-3 nonprofit organization, provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members. Community outreach is strong component of the St. Andrew’s curriculum.

-A screening is a tool used to determine whether there is a need for further, more comprehensive assessment. An evaluation uses formal, standardized measures to determine the presence and severity of a delay or disorder.

If your child fails the screening, then a full evaluation will be recommended. You have the choice to complete that evaluation completed at Chatterbox or Joye Psychology or with a different provider of your choosing.
