Savannah Birth and Baby will host the First Annual Birth and Baby Expo Sat., Nov. 23 2019 at River Drive Crossfit in Savannah.

This FREE Birth and Baby Expo aims to provide resources for pregnant families and new parents.

The Birth and Baby Expo will feature classes, raffle prizes, interactive displays, a lactation lounge, food trucks, and a mimosa bar. As part of the event, Savannah Birth and Baby hopes to bring awareness to many of the under utilized birth and baby professionals in the area. Classes will include babywearing, prenatal yoga, baby massage, infant and newborn sleep, labor comfort measures, birth planning, and cloth diapering. In addition to vendors and classes, the event will be raffling off $10,000 in prizes from local Savannah area business. Any proceeds from the event will be donated to PACK Savannah.

Savannah Birth and Baby is a collective of individuals in the Savannah area that are committed to bringing resources to pregnant women and young families.

SouthCoast Health presents 11th Annual United Way Turkey Trot, Savannah

SouthCoast Health is proud to present the 11th annual United Way Turkey Trot on Nov. 28 2019 at Daffin Park.

SouthCoast Health has been the title sponsor of the event since it started back in 2009.

The Kids-K kicks off the fun-filled day at 8AM. This 400-yard race is perfect for children eight years old or younger, and it’s free with no registration required. At 8:15AM the Diaper Dash will start, with children ages two and under running 40 feet. Finally, the main run and walk of the 4-mile course begins at 8:30AM.

After the races, participants are invited to a post-race awards ceremony hosted at Daffin Park where they can enjoy food, beverages, and local vendors. The ceremony will include prizes for the top three overall male and female racers, the top three male and female racers in each age group, and additional awards such as the largest family, runner from farthest away, most senior, most junior, and best costume.

Race day registration is $40. T-shirt sizes may be limited.

All proceeds for this event will go to local causes and charities through United Way. United Way is dedicated to creating solutions for communities around the world, with a focus on education, financial stability, and health.
