Join us for the 3rd Annual 4th of July Neighborhood Parade at Hull Park!
Hosted by the Midtown Savannah Parents Group and our AMAZING local volunteers and sponsors, this is THE community event you don’t want to miss!
Show off your patriotic spirit with costumes and decorations to compete for the titles of Best Bike or Wagon, Patriotic Pet, Most Creative Costume and Best Group Costume! There will be food trucks, but don’t forget to bring your own picnic for after the parade.
FREE registration kicks off at 9:45 AM under the pavilion. Line up starting at 10:15 AM and the parade kicks off at 10:30 AM sharp – but remember, NO MOTOR VEHICLES ALLOWED!
Grab your red, white, and blue and let’s celebrate like it’s 1776!
Tickets for the film are $5 for SCAD Card holders, students, seniors, and military; and $8 for the general public. Children ages 12 and younger receive free admission.

Saturday, June 13, Juneteenth Free Family Day returns to Telfair for the 19th year
Free admission to the Telfair Academy and Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters awaits local residents. Explore the new exhibition, Roots in the Rushes: African American Basketry of the Lowcountry and take part in activities and demos throughout the afternoon.
Specialized Juneteenth tours at the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters will pay tribute to Black craftsmanship and the impact it’s had on the nation.

Two Savannah parades featuring Clydesdales June 4 & June 6
The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are returning to Savannah for a multi-day series of appearances and celebrations June 4-6 2026 in honor of Budweiser’s 150th anniversary.
Catch the eight-horse hitch and their famous red beer wagon at the following events:
Thursday, June 4
4PM: Hitching demonstration at Daffin Park.
5PM: Clydesdale Parade through Daffin Park, leading into the Savannah Bananas baseball game at Grayson Stadium.
Saturday, June 6
10AM: Hitching demonstration at Morrell Park (located at River St. and E. Broad Ramp).
11AM: Waterfront Parade. The horses will travel down River Street.
12:30PM: Parade concludes at Plant Riverside District.
1PM: Public unhitching and photo opportunities at Plant Riverside District across from Montgomery Street stairs

SCAD students, alumni, local high school students create concrete canvas at the 44th annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival, transforming Savannah’s historic Forsyth Park into a chromatic landscape of chalk compositions for the chance to win coveted prizes.
At the SCAD Sand Arts Festival 2026 on Tybee Island, SCAD students & alumni compete to create sand sculptures. The sculptures are made in the sand on the beach by Tybee Island’s South Beach Pier and Pavillion off Tybrisa St.

Level Up this summer! Savannah-Chatham County Public School System offers a number of enrichment activities for Summer 2026 for students to explore various career and technical fields, as well as credit recovery, skill enhancement, and more.
The goals of Summer Level Up are to support students who need additional academic attention, expand opportunities for enrichment and real-world experiences, and ensure students stay on track for success in the upcoming school year. There are several tracks for enhanced learning:
Initial Credit: For High School Students (10-12) seeking advanced credit opportunities
Credit/Grade Recovery: For students in grades 3-12 needing academic remediation for promotion and/or graduation
Blended Learning: Leveraging instructional platforms for targeted individual and small group support
Literacy Enrichment: For English learners in grades K-2 and 6-8
ARISE/ESY: Adaptive Recreational and Instructional Summer Enrichment.
Enrichment Programs are offered this summer as well. There are fee-based camps, as well as non-fee based camps, apprenticeships and workforce readiness programs. Scholarships are available for all paid programs. Transportation is available to most programs, and some programs provide lunch. Learn more here about the many opportunities to Level Up this summer! Cost should NOT be a barrier. Families are encouraged to apply for scholarships for any paid programs.

This year will feature stations in sculpting, pottery wheels, family activities, Raku firing demonstrations, and more.
