At the Georgia State Railroad Museum, take a train tour with a historic steam locomotive, experience operating a hand car, tour Pullman rail cars and some icons of the railroad (boxcars and caboose). Special children’s activities will be conducted throughout the day. You can also visit Old Fort Jackson and step into the shoes of those soldiers that were stationed at Georgia’s oldest brick fort during the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and the Civil War. Experience what life was like for those soldiers: try on period uniforms, participate in an artillery crew, and watch cannon and musket demonstrations. Adults $15; Child (ages 5-12) $10 (no children under 4 years of age) FISHING CAMP Every Friday June 15 through August 17 (except 6/22 and 8/10) 10:30 am An interactive day camp where kids learn the basics of fishing, crabbing and shrimping. The program will help kids discover the sport of fishing and give them all the tools necessary to continue fishing for years to come. $35 per child
