Come to Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah on Sat. Feb. 3 2-3PM in the Interpretive Center to listen to local author Phyllis Tildes read her charming books for children inspired by nature. You’ll also have the opportunity to color some of the author’s beautiful illustrations.
Phyllis Limbacher Tildes is an award-winning author and illustrator of picture books for children ages 0-8. Her love of nature and wildlife is evident in many of her titles. Her latest book, Bunny’s Big Surprise, was released in 2020 and features a variety of low-country wildlife. She has published 24 books, including Counting on Calico in 1995. Her 25th book, a board book version of her popular Eye Guess, will be released in January 2024.

Summit Gymnastics in Savannah offers a regular time for children ages 5 and younger to play in their gym with an adult.
The program called Tiny Tots Playtime @ Summit Gymnastics in Savannah will be offered on the following dates 9:30-11AM in in January and February 2024:

Winter term registration is now open for visual and performing arts classes including youth clay/ceramics classes at SCAC!
In Teen Clay, teens with any level of experience will learn a broad range of skills including hand-building and experimental projects. Beginning and Intermediate Youth Clay allows youth ages 9-12 to dive into the world of ceramics and complete finished pieces. Teen Clay class begins Jan 22, Beginning Youth Clay class begins Jan 30, and the Intermediate Youth Cay class begins Jan 29.

Mornings in movement and song with little ones aged 2-3. Class is available on both Wednesday and Saturday from 10-10:45AM starting Jan. 31.
This class offers interactive bonding time with parent and child, geared towards children ages two and three. Play with your child in song and dance, helping them achieve confidence in cognitive and motor skills. Using props and imagination in themed organized play connects you with your child while watching their independence develop.
Kids aged 3-5 can also join Discovering Dance, a 3 in 1 class exploring different dance techniques and rhythm.
An afternoon of art exploration and fun for creative kids aged 9-12. Class takes place Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30PM starting Jan. 31 2024.
In this class, young artists will have the opportunity to explore the art of both drawing and painting. You’ll develop your drawing and painting skills in a variety of fun projects that will include watercolor, pastels, and acrylics.

Toddler Tuesday is a program for 1-4 year old children and their caregivers that focuses on one of Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s animals, or a relevant nature theme. The program will meet at the picnic pavilion and will include singing, finger play, a story, and a possible encounter with one of Oatland’s furry, feathered or scaly residents.
Occasionally the program ventures to an exhibit, so dress appropriately and bring your stroller and walking shoes. Toddler Tuesday is weather dependent and in case of extreme weather and a cancellation is required, attendees will be emailed at the address you registered with which you registered.

Sessions are offered twice on Tuesdays from 10-10:30AM & 11-11:30AM and registration is not required, but it helps organizers speed up check in and if there is a cancellation you will be the first to know.

Savannah Children’s Museum is an outdoor, two-level space, built within the former Central of Georgia Railway repair facility and adjacent to Georgia State Railroad Museum. The museum features learning-through-play exhibits including an exploration maze, a reading nook, building blocks, a nature kitchen and scavenger hunt.
Open Wednesday through Sunday from 9AM-3PM.
SCM will have special opening Mon. Jan. 15 in because schools will be closed in honor of MLK Jr Day.
