Horsin’ Around is a volunteer run, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding to special needs individuals in Southeast Georgia. The group rides on Tuesday and Thursdays evenings. Their next session begins Oct 15, 2013.

Horsin’ Around has two upcoming events that are open to the public:

Oct 26, 2013: 6:30 – 8:30 Wines & Equines at 1032 John Carter Blvd, Bloomingdale, GA. The evening will consist of tasting delicious wine, sampling decadent desserts and a special demonstration from some of our riders as well as a meet and greet with our hoofed friends. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the event. Call 912-667-6721 or email horsinaroundboard@yahoo.com for tickets.

November 9, 2013. Strides to Rides Charity Walk at Lake Mayer. Registration and activities (such as duck pond and face painting) will begin at 11 am and the walk will begin at noon. Pre-registration is $20 or $25 the day of the event. T-shirts and lunch are included with registration. Teams are encouraged and the biggest rider team PRE-REGISTERED (with at least 10 members) gets a free session and the biggest non-rider team PRE-REGISTERED (with at least 10 members) gets a $100 restaurant gift card. Sponsorship is welcomed and needed by Oct 14 to assure advertising.
