The Savannah Children’s Museum will have its first indoor space by the end of 2025.
The STEAM Center at Savannah Children’s Museum will be housed in the historic storehouse building at the neighboring Georgia State Railroad Museum, a museum also operated by Coastal Heritage Society.
The 100-year-old industrial building is being transformed into a modern learning environment, which will house an exhibit called “Numbers in Nature,” an innovative STEAM exhibition scheduled to open in late 2025. This interactive experience makes complex concepts accessible by revealing the mathematical patterns found all around us—in nature, music, art, and architecture.
Featured in the exhibition is an 1,800-square-foot Mirror Maze of repeating triangles, reflections, and illusions. Visitors will navigate the maze and uncover the secrets hidden inside- including the way out.
