Vote for Oatland Island June 29 to help Oatland win a Toyota

Monday, June 20th, 2011

Friends of Oatland, Inc. (FOO) is proud to announce they’ve been selected as a finalist in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. Now Oatland needs your support! Vote for Oatland (FOO) at www.facebook.com/toyota on June 29th. June 29th is the only day you can vote for Oatland so please put it on your calendar! It’s listed under Friends of Oatland Island.

Oatland relies on vehicles on a daily basis in every department – Animal Care delivers food and bedding, Education transports teaching supplies, Guest Services transports landscaping tools and plants, and Operations hauls construction materials. A new truck from Toyota would assist us in carrying out our mission – to educate and connect visitors with the natural world. Additionally, a new vehicle is needed as part of our hurricane evacuation plan.
