Ready for a night on the town with out the kiddos? Mark your calendars! You’re invited to take advantage of Parents Night Out/Fall Harvest Festival on Friday, October 19 from 6 to 10PM at Unitarian Universalist Church of Savannah.
The children will play outdoor games then come inside for more fun, crafts, and movies. Pizza and popcorn provided. $20 for the first child, $10 for additional children from the same household.

-Training generations to love and serve God, the church, and their neighbors as Christ does.

Steve Wright (author of reThink: Is Student Ministry Working? and ApParent Privilege) served at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC from 1999-2012 primarily as the Student Pastor but later transitioned as Pastor of Family Discipleship. He is currently serving as Pastor of Discipleship and Church Planting at First Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, FL.
He received a Master of Arts degree in Christian Ed. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His undergrad degree is from Carson Newman College in TN. Steve also founded InQuest Ministries, to encourage youth pastors serving on the frontlines of ministry, and supplies resources of Sunday School and Discipleship curriculum to thousands of churches worldwide.
He and his wife Tina have been happily married since 1989. They are blessed with three children–Sara, William and Tyler.

The race happens on and around the Hilton Head Hospital Campus and Main Street and features a colorful seasonal theme and provides participants a chance to burn off those extra holiday calories. The race features all standard male and female running divisions. Holiday prizes are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, plus the top three in each age category will also receive unique holiday awards.
Participants are asked to bring new unwrapped toys, gift cards, or phone cards for donations to benefit CODA ( Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse ). People who donate toys will qualify to win a Holiday Gift Package valued at over $150. The Holiday Gift Package will include: Turkey, Wreath, Poinsettia, and other holiday items.
The first 400 participants will receive a long sleeve Jingle Jingle T-shirt, jingle bells, and a candy cane.
An festive award ceremony featuring refreshments, music and door prizes will be held following the race.

The South’s Toughest Bridge Run!!
Come run Savannah’s Talmadge Bridge 1, 2, or 3 times! The bridge is a 1.4 mile span at a 5.5% grade, 196 feet above the Savannah River.
Race Course
5K
The 5K Run / Walk will start on Hutchinson Island, on Wayne Shackleford Road near the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center at 8:15 a.m. All participants will head west, then over the Talmadge Memorial Bridge and will finish back in the Historic District near the Savannah Civic Center
10K
The 10K race will start in front of the Chatham County Court House on Montgomery Street in Savannah’s Historic District at 9 a.m. The run leads participants through Savannah’s Historic District, then heads over the Talmadge Memorial Bridge, and back over for a second time, finishing near the Savannah Civic Center.
Double Pump
The DOUBLE PUMP will start on Hutchinson Island at 8:15 a.m. with the 5K. As soon as you complete the 5K, DOUBLE PUMP participants line up at the 10K start and complete another two trips over the Talmadge Memorial Bridge. You must be able to complete the 5K in 40 minutes or less to participate in DOUBLE PUMP and be at the 10K starting line by 9 a.m. (NO LATE STARTS.) Awards will be given out for your combined times of the 5K and 10K.
1/4 Mile Kids Run
The ¼ mile kids race is FREE and will start at 8 a.m. The race will begin at the finish line near the Savannah Civic Center. Every participant gets an award!

3rd Annual Savannah Reindeer Run/Walk 8K

Proceeds benefit the Rape Crisis Center of Savannah.
The Reindeer Run takes place at the Savannah International Trade Center on Hutchinson Island.
The run is followed by a Chili Cook Off with celebrity Judges: Paula Deen, Jaime Deen, Bobby Deen, Straton Leopold, and Mary Jane Crouch; Leopold’s Ice Cream; Bojangles’ Biscuits; Cornhole Competition ; Lots of kid’s activities and mascots galore!
Trophies for the run and kids competitions.
Winner of the Cornhole Competition stays in the Deen’s Tybee cottage for a weekend. In the freezer will be a gallon of Leopold’s Ice Cream
