Workshop Wed. May 8, 1-4PM: Spend the afternoon immersed in art at SCAD MOA
Calling all homeschooling families! Amplify your student’s artist journey with an enriching workshop at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah. In this immersive experience, education and creativity collide to offer a field study for homeschooled students.
This event presents a unique opportunity for your students to acclimate into the art world as observers and creators. While they feed their creative minds among the exhibitions, they’ll meet other students and foster lasting community connections.
What to expect:
Artist appreciation: Encounter the work of diverse artists while touring the SCAD Museum of Art’s galleries with a museum educator.
Artmaking: Express creative ideas at interactive art stations equipped with the necessary materials and guidance to create art inspired by work seen in the museum.
Build community: Connect with other homeschooling families who share a passion for art and education.
Learn as you go: Deepen your appreciation for the world of visual expression while learning more about art styles, social significance, and the use of varied materials.

Anyone may enter with a child aged 0-7 years! Limit of 1 child per family; only 1 entry permitted.
Winner must be available to attend on at least one of the days we offer classes. You choose the class of your choice and attend it once per week. Included in the prize is the digital online home materials that correspond with the month of classes.
All classes will be held at our studio in Bloomingdale. Prize is for the month of May 2024 only, and cannot be redeemed for any other month.
One winner will be randomly drawn and notified by text and/or email on April 30 2024.
The EmmaJames, the first sophisticated multifamily and retail development on Savannah’s Hutchinson Island, has officially kicked off their series of complimentary yoga classes for the Savannah community at their scenic waterfront park overlooking The Savannah River!
In partnership with master instructors from New Yoga Now, The EmmaJames is offering free yoga classes in the park to bring together the members of the Savannah community.
Attendees may experience the beauty of Hutchinson Island while finding inner peace with New Yoga Now.
Classes are 9:30AM Saturdays. Open for all ages. Please bring a yoga mat.
Par-Tee for Women class is a beginner to intermediate class in Savannah for women looking to learn to play golf and not be taught by your husband / boyfriend.
The class begins on Tuesday, June 4th, – July 16th, 2024 in Savannah. Class time: 6:30-8PM each week.
In addition to the 7 classes, the students will have six (6) instructional classes and one (1) on the golf course classes during the semester.
The PGA Junior League is for boys and girls ages 10 -13 years old that are new or experienced in golf. The class will have a weekly class and a Sunday match… guaranteed with set start and end times.
All classes and matches will be indoors at the Savannah Indoor Golf Club with its Trackman 4 launch monitors.
Dedicated to kids aged 18 months to 17 years old, The Jam in Savannah will offer a range of exhilarating programs including recreational gymnastics, Ninjastics, and obstacle courses when it opens in May 2024.
Above is the tentative classes schedule for May 2024. Note that this schedule is subject to change. As you already know, The JAM staff are working on getting the space ready, and hopeful for a soft opening in May 2024.
The JAM’s mission? To bring the perfect blend of fun, challenge, and support to every child, pre-teen, and teen that walks through the doors! The goal is for kids to not only develop strength and confidence but also forge lifelong friendships, becoming strong and well-balanced individuals along the way.

Home School Art (Ages 6-12) | Tuesdays, 11:00am-12:00pm
Classes run for 6 weeks and cover various disciplines in ceramics, dance, drawing and more. All experience levels are welcome, and all materials are supplied.
For the past 21 years, Kindermusik with 88 Keys Piano has been offering small group music instruction to children ages 0-7 and their caregivers in the Savannah area.
This Kindermusik studio – located in Bloomingdale Ga near Savannah – also provides private instrument lessons for children ages 7+.

Toddler Tuesday is a program for 1-4 year old children and their caregivers that focuses on one of Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s animals, or a relevant nature theme. The program will meet at the picnic pavilion and will include singing, finger play, a story, and a possible encounter with one of Oatland’s furry, feathered or scaly residents.
Occasionally the program ventures to an exhibit, so dress appropriately and bring your stroller and walking shoes. Toddler Tuesday is weather dependent and in case of extreme weather and a cancellation is required, attendees will be emailed at the address you registered with which you registered.

Sessions are offered twice on Tuesdays from 10-10:30AM & 11-11:30AM and registration is not required, but it helps organizers speed up check in and if there is a cancellation you will be the first to know.

Georgia Tech’s Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics and Computing (CEISMC) is offering summer camps for students in rising 2nd – 12th grade. All of the programming is focused around science, technology, engineering, and art and technology.
