Savannah Children’s Theatre is hosting a 5-day musical theatre camp December 19-23: North Pole’s Got Talent!. This full-day camp for youth will have students playing theatre games, singing songs, creating dances & putting on a holiday musical for the final day. Camp hours are 9AM-5PM, but early drop off & late pickup is available upon request.

Old Fort Jackson’s dynamic, living history presentations take place from 10 AM until Noon, and from 1 until 3 PM each day.
Fri. Nov. 25: there will be portrayal of Union and Confederate Soldiers who fought in the Battle of Honey Hill, South Carolina, on Nov. 30th, 1864. These soldiers included the 55th Massachussetts Volunteers, who eventually served at Old Fort Jackson. Experience renowned rifle musket and cannon firings, along with battlefield surgery presentations.
Sat. Nov. 26: there will be a portrayal of Union and Confederate Soldiers and Civilians from Savannah. Hear the story behind the history of Thanksgiving as celebrated in 1864. Experience firing of the mighty 32 Pounder Cannon. Local musicians from Bella Harmony Music, period dancing as well! In the afternoon, participants will portray civilians on the homefront, along with the Savannah Republican Blues, plus the renowned Infantry and Artillery Drill, and Battle Drill with guests.
Lowcountry Celebration Park, one of Hilton Head Island’s newest parks that reflects some of its coastal, historical and environmental attributes, was recognized with an Award of Excellence for its design.
The South Carolina Chapter American Society of Landscape Architects presented the award, which is the highest honor it bestows, at its annual conference held recently in Greenville, South Carolina. Chris Darnell, an Urban Designer with the Town of Hilton Head Island, and Wood and Partners, the firm that designed the park, accepted the award.

SCAD MOA welcomes the Savannah community to enjoy free admission on the second Sunday of every month. Residents of Savannah or any of its surrounding counties (Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Beaufort, and Jasper) are invited to visit free of charge.

A new round of classes has begun at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center and there is still time to join! From dance to visual art classes, everyone has a chance to create.
At the FREE Lantern Parade 2022 on HIlton Head Is., every participant will have a lantern to march. Each lantern will be a representation of our history, our ecology, our recreation or ourselves.
2022 Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade Sat. Nov. 12, 2022 Parade Route: Alder Lane Beach Access to Coligny Beach Park Parade Starts @ Sunset (5:45 PM-ish)Created by and featuring artist Chantelle Rytter, the Lantern Parade is a free event and an opportunity for the surrounding community and visitors to celebrate the history, ecology and people of Hilton Head Island.
The only requirement to participate is having a lantern!
Lineup for the parade begins at 5PM at the Alder Lane Beach Access.
The parade will start at 5:45PM Sat Nov. 12, right after sunset, and travel north along South Forest Beach up to Coligny Beach Park.
Spectators can watch along the beach anywhere between Alder Lane and Coligny Beach Park.
Telfair Museums offers fee-based afterschool classes or workshops. All classes are located in the Jepson Center at 207 W. York Street unless otherwise noted.
Youth Portfolio Builder: Painting and Drawing
Ages 9–12 years
Mondays, Nov. 7 – Dec. 5 2022 | 4:30–6pm

This afternoon class is designed to help upper-elementary and middle school students improve their drawing and painting skills, build a portfolio, and begin the process of developing good art-making habits. Students will focus on measurement, proportion, perspective, use of value, and color to create volume and space. Lessons and projects will work on site and at outdoor locations near the museum. All materials are provided.

Over 300 5th-12th grade students will be enjoying a weekend of singing with 4 different choirs. Eighteen schools will be participating. The festival was spearheaded by James Kirk who is currently the choral director at New Hampstead K8. Each year the festival gains momentum with more SCCPSS schools looking forward to participating in the two-day event.
SCCPSS officials have rescheduled the festival to this Friday & Saturday, Oct. 28-29 2022. The festival was originally scheduled during Hurricane Ian.
The concert will take place at New Hampstead High School on Sat. Oct. 29 2022 beginning at 3PM. FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
