Day of Clay Savannah Cultural Arts Center October 2021 free events

FREE Day of Clay with the Savannah Clay Community on the lawn @ Savannah Cultural Arts Center

Bring your kids to the lawn of the Savannah Cultural Arts Center for a free afternoon of clay, 2-5PM Fri. Oct. 15 2021 (new date due to weather) @ Savannah Cultural Arts Center.

No pre-registration required.

Artists and instructors from the SCAC and Savannah Clay Community will have stations introducing you to projects and techniques including handbuilding handbuilding, surface design, wheel, and Raku firing.

This is an interactive event so come prepared to get your hands a little messy. Select projects can be left at the SCAC to be kiln fired and picked up at a later date. Don’t want to get messy? Come to watch a demo, pick up a take home kit, or enter the raffle.

This free event is for all ages and all levels of clay experience. Parents/guardians must accompany children ages 14 and younger at all times. No pre-registration is required. Wear clothing that can get a little messy.

In the case if inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.

Location: Lawn of the Savannah Cultural Arts Center, 201 Montgomery St. (The lawn is located on the corner of MLK and Oglethorpe Ave).

Parking: Limited (paid) street parking is available near the Savannah Cultural Arts Center. The closest parking garages are Liberty Parking Garage on Liberty & Montgomery and Robinson Parking Garage on Montgomery St. across from Chatham County Courthouse.
