*April 17 Celebrate the National Park Service Centennial with a little baseball action.

11AM & 2PM 19th century baseball games on Sun. April 17

Fort Pulaski has close ties with the national pastime as it was played by union soldiers in the fort during the American Civil War.

The two-hour programs will highlight baseball at Fort Pulaski and get you active and playing. This will be a spring training of sorts as park staff teaches the differences between the modern game of baseball and what was played at the fort in 1862. The last hour of each session will conclude with an exhibition game with all of the participants.

No reservations are required. Gloves are not needed. Bring some comfortable sneakers and be ready for some fun bringing baseball back to Fort Pulaski.
