Stroll through the sidewalk chalk gallery en plein air in Savannah’s Forsyth Park.

SCAD students, alumni, local high school students create concrete canvas at the 44th annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival, transforming Savannah’s historic Forsyth Park into a chromatic landscape of chalk compositions for the chance to win coveted prizes.

FREE SCAD Sand Arts Festival 2026, 10AM-5PM Fri. May 1 2026 @ Tybee Island Pier

At the SCAD Sand Arts Festival 2026 on Tybee Island, SCAD students & alumni compete to create sand sculptures. The sculptures are made in the sand on the beach by Tybee Island’s South Beach Pier and Pavillion off Tybrisa St.

Free & open to the public.

Friday, May 1st | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visiting artist Chris Nitsche will share a dynamic, large-scale installation rooted in immersion and the exploration of materiality, environment, and collaborative making.
