Soccer Shots in Savannah is kicking off the season and wants your child to join them on Soccer Island!
Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Their weekly sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting.
Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Soccer Shots curriculum is aligned with early learning state standards and they highlight a positive character trait each week such as respect, confidence and determination.
And since your child’s safety is their top concern, this season, things will look a little different as Soccer Shots will implement several safety guidelines on soccer island. They will be offering smaller class sizes, disinfecting equipment, maintaining distancing and using larger fields, along with a variety of other precautions to keep both children and staff safe.
Soccer Shots has locations all throughout Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, and Bluffton.
New this fall, Soccer Shots is offering private classes through their Neighborhood program where you choose the location and your soccer friends! Get the squad together and enroll today.

The FALL season runs from September through November, with games taking place on Fridays at Calvary Day School, 4625 Waters Ave.

This is open to both boys and girls (ages kindergarten-8th grade) of all skill levels and promotes a competitive, confidence building, non-contact football experience. (Open to all kids including those who do not attend Calvary.)

This is a great opportunity for children to try a Soccer Shots program for the first time and for parents to meet some Soccer Shots coaches.
They will run abbreviated 15 minute sessions and have more information about the Soccer Shots program available. Event will take place on the Whitaker Street side of the park, on the south end by the tennis courts and Farmer’s Market.

The 2019 Winter Training Program will be run by Savannah United Academy Director Keith Gunn for age groups 2012 – 2008 and Jeff Storey-Pitts, Savannah United Select Director for age groups 2007 – 2001.
The venue will be Memorial Stadium located off Skidaway Road in Savannah.
These sessions take place during the ‘off season’ for players who wish to continue with a high level training routine. The focus will be on technique, competitions and small sided games. This program is open to all levels of play, but players will be grouped primarily on their ability.

Coastal Empire Lacrosse is a team oriented lacrosse program for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Coaches stress the fundamentals and subtle nuances of the game over “winning at all costs”. CE Lacrosse believes in hard work, unselfish play, and building character.
Teams will practice during the week with games on the weekends. Some travel is necessary to get more games, but teams mostly play against local teams throughout the year.
No experience necessary. Teams are for all players to learn, grow and have fun. Rental lacrosse equipment is available.

SSA Savannah United is now accepting applications for their Spring 2019 Micro and Recreational Soccer Programs. Recreational teams do not require tryouts but they are a great place for any soccer enthusiast to develop their skills and enjoy the game. The registration deadline is Feb. 15, 2019.
