Toddler Tuesday is a program for 1-4 year old children and their caregivers that focuses on one of Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s animals, or a relevant nature theme. The program will meet at the picnic pavilion and will include singing, finger play, a story, and a possible encounter with one of Oatland’s furry, feathered or scaly residents.
Occasionally the program ventures to an exhibit, so dress appropriately and bring your stroller and walking shoes. Toddler Tuesday is weather dependent and in case of extreme weather and a cancellation is required, attendees will be emailed at the address you registered with which you registered.

Sessions are offered twice on Tuesdays from 10-10:30AM & 11-11:30AM and registration is not required, but it helps organizers speed up check in and if there is a cancellation you will be the first to know.
Program Cost:
$5 for adults / free for adult FOO members
$3 for military adults/ free for adult FOO members
$5 for children participating in the program (FOO members and non members must pay program fee)
$3 per class if you buy a multi pass punch card (6 class minimum purchase)
You can purchase a punch card for your child’s admission for repeat visits at the class sign-in table, or at the front desk lobby anytime.

Winter term registration is now open for visual and performing arts classes at SCAC! Choose from painting, drawing, ceramics, dynamic dance, and more. Plus – new Youth Musical Theater and Beads, Braids, and Knots!
Teen classes begin January 22 and run for 7 weeks.

This is a 3-hour program 9AM-noon for children ages 6-12 and will feature games and pony rides, farm animals, seasonal craft, horsemanship skills, & more. Please pack a snack.
Any membership level may be purchased as a gift and all CHS members enjoy an exclusive suite of benefits.
Membership includes unlimited free admission to all of CHS sites including Savannah Children’s Museum, which It is an ideal space for children to learn through play by allowing kids to explore their own interests in a natural setting, helping to combat nature-deficit disorder.
Come to Savannah Children’s Museum on New Year’s Eve Day Sun. Dec. 31 2023 for a Kids’ Noon Year’s Countdown Celebration, weather permitting. There will be a countdown to noon with shaker crafts, bubble wrap fireworks and a dance party.
(Please note that Savannah Children’s Museum will be closed Mon. Jan. 1 and will reopen for regular hours of operation Wed. Jan. 3 2024 @ 9AM-3PM.)

The Dec. 19 2023 Polar Express Party @ Oatland Island Wildife Center in Savannah is a special Toddler Tuesday program and the last Toddler Tuesday program of 2023.
It will take place inside Oatland’s conference room and will include a typical Toddler Tuesday program about polar animals; followed by train play (large and small train sets), a holiday craft, hot chocolate and cookie snack, and winter snow play.
This program is a special fundraiser for Oatland. Reservation is required due to limited space inside. Reserve your spots online here.
Oatland’s Polar Express Party runs about 45 minutes and will be offered 3 times on Dec. 19, so all who want to attend have a chance to come.
After Dec. 19, there will be a short break in Toddler Tuesday programs for the holidays, and will reconvene on Jan. 2, 2024.
