Enjoy a Back-to-School Free Family Day with activities based on our current exhibitions at the Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center in Savannah: A Measure of Time: Anila Quayyum Agha, Lingua Flora, and Of One Mind.
Enjoy demonstrations by local artists, including Nancey B. Price, who incorporates floral imagery into her collage works, designer Ryan Cox of the Flower Factory, and #art912 exhibiting artist Alexis Javier.
Families are also invited to create light and pattern art inspired by the work of Anila Agha and explore the Telfair’s Children’s Art Museum.
Free for all local residents thanks to investment by the City of Savannah, the Georgia Council for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Toddler Tuesday is a program for 1-4 year old children and their caregivers that focuses on one of Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s animals, or a relevant nature theme. The program will meet at the picnic pavilion and will include singing, finger play, a story, and a possible encounter with one of Oatland’s furry, feathered or scaly residents.
Occasionally the program ventures to an exhibit, so dress appropriately and bring your stroller and walking shoes. Toddler Tuesday is weather dependent and in case of extreme weather and a cancellation is required, attendees will be emailed at the address you registered with which you registered.

At this free annual event for K-12 students and their families, you’ll enjoy free, full access to the Savannah Children’s Museum including a life-size maze, slides, a sensory garden, a healthy scavenger hunt, a trail mix remix station, and face painting.
Make groundhog pop up puppets and find out if Savannah Children’s Museum resident prognosticator Tippy the tortoise will see his shadow- or if he will decide it’s time for summer!

Historic figures throughout the museum will appear to come to life as visitors interact with them
Make plans now to experience the annual Night of the Museum event on Jan. 27 2024 @ the Savannah History Museum.
During a 90-minute interactive program, guests will be trained as honorary night guards and taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum. In addition, historic figures throughout the museum will appear to magically come to life as visitors interact with them.
Guests can choose between two sessions for the 90-minute event at either 5pm to 6:30pm or 6:30pm to 8pm. The museum will also screen a showing of the film “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” at 3pm and 8pm.
