Bring the kids to Garden City’s first FREE Public Safety Day on Sat. Oct. 13 2018, 10AM-2PM.
Kids can enjoy: police car/fire truck/EMS vehicle exploration; children’s fire safety house exploration; Nerf Gun challenge; junior firefighter challenge; children’s bouncy house; Sparky the Dog meet & greet; kids’ activities table; children’s ID kit giveaway & education; fire & life safety education; First Aid/ 911/ CPR education
Garden City-area food truck vendors as well as public safety will be on-site.
Free & open to the public

10:00 a.m. Opening Remarks from Mayor and City Council
10:05 a.m. SWAT Team Helicopter Entrance and Demonstration
10:20 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Firefighter Challenge
10:30 a.m. Police/Fire/EMS Donut Eating Contest
10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Corn Hole Team Elimination/Challenge (Police/Fire/EMS)
11 a.m. Police K-9 Demonstration
11:30 a.m. Police/Fire/EMS Team Tug-of-War
11:45 a.m. Team Car Extrication
12:15 p.m. Pittsburgh Fire Drill
12:45 p.m. Police Demonstrations: SWAT and Bomb Squad
1:30 p.m. Public Safety Day Team Awards Presentation
2 p.m. End of Garden City’s first Public Safety Day Event
10 a.m. to 2 p.m Public Safety Vehicle Exploration, Children’s Fire Safety House, Nerf Gun Challenge, Junior Firefighter Challenge, Children’s Bounce House, Sparky the Dog Meet and Greet.
