Tybee Irish Heritage Parade Mardi Gras Mermaid Festival

Mardi Gras. St. Patrick’s Day. Mermaids.

Tybee Island will celebrate it all over the next few weeks. Be sure to take the kids to at least one of these festive events at Savannah’s beachtown that certainly knows how to throw a party and a parade.

2018 Mardi Gras Tybee

Sat. Feb. 10, Noon-6PM @ Memorial Park, Tybee Is.
Noon – 2PM Street Party & DJ Arte
2PM Parade (city hall to Tybrisa roundabout)
3PM Street Dance with The Christy Alan Band
4PM Costume Contest 5 categories: Pets, Prince, Princess, King, Queen, Krewe
4:30-6PM dance music continued


2018 Tybee Irish Heritage Celebration Parade

Sat. March 10, 3-5PM
Tybee Island will be decked out in green with a family-friendly parade including floats, marchers and musical bands. This fun, family-friendly event is done in a unique, quirky way that only Tybee Island can do, and families are encouraged to dress in green and celebrate. The parade starts at 3PM at the Tybee City Hall and proceeds down Butler Avenue to Tybrisa Street.
Free and open to the public.


Tybee Island Mermaid Fest

Sat. March 24, Noon-4 PM
@ Tybee Island Beach Pier and Pavilion
This will be the 1st Annual Tybee Island Mermaid Fest presented by Savannah Pride and will include live music, games and, of course, mermaids.
