(Free Savannah events) Deep Speaks 2018
Deep Speaks
The Young Author Project, Deep Center’s introductory program, engages public middle school students with language & their stories to help them express themselves with skill, confidence & courage.
Twice a year, Deep Center releases anthologies featuring original, vivid & fearless stories, poems & plays written by Deep’s young authors—Savannah-Chatham public middle school students in Deep’s Young Author Project.
Select young authors are chosen by their peers to read their published works at Deep Speaks, the Youth Author Project’s end-of-semester book launch & live reading in front of a live audience of about 500 family members, peers & community members from all over Savannah.
Come hear these literary works.
Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 6PM. The readings will start promptly at 6:30PM.
Tues. Feb. 13 6:30-8PM
The Savannah Theatre
222 Bull St.
Savannah, GA 31401
This event is free & open to the public.
Note: Deep authors are fearless & can write challenging content. Parental guidance suggested.
