Live Oak Public Libraries presents 2016 Summer Reading Program June 1 through July 31

Read for rewards and enjoy great shows and activities at all Live Oak Public Libraries branches this summer, June 1 through July 31. The “On Your Mark, Get Set…READ!” Summer Reading Program is open to children and teens up to 18 years old.

To get started, visit any Live Oak Public Libraries branch in Chatham, Effingham or Liberty County and pick up your On Your Mark, Get Set…READ! reading log or download one from our  website, Don’t forget to register online in the Dugout area of our website so you qualify for all the great prizes! In the Dugout you can also share reviews of your favorite books, see what others are reading this summer, make a wish list, and keep track of what you’ve read!

Read anything – comics, graphic novels, newspapers, e-books and, of course, library books. You can also participate by listening to stories read aloud (so even babies can participate!) or by listening to audiobooks. Yes, attending a library storytime or program counts, too!

Read or be read to for a total of 10 hours. Complete and record your 10 hours from June 1 through July 31.

Keep track of the hours you’ve read by putting X’s through the sports icons (sneakers, bicycles, baseballs and footballs) on your summer reading log. Keep track of the book titles you’ve read in the Dugout area of our website. You’ll need these to get your free book from Barnes & Noble (while supplies last).
