Feb 2014 Free Family Day is Feb. 1 at Telfair Museums. Telfair Museums will host a Free Family Day at the Jepson Center as part of its monthly Free Family Days series.
February Free Family Day: PULSE
Activate all their senses by creating art using light and sound, exploring interactive sculpture and experiencing a 3:00 pm multimedia performance by INVISIBLE, a ‘mechanical music museum.’

Family Days are offered one Saturday each month from 1 to 4 p.m., offering free hands-on activities designed to be fun and educational. Kids can create their own masterpieces, play art detective and enjoy activities for all ages.

Explore the seasons in art in the New York Accents exhibition and Telfair Museums’ permanent collection,from George Bellows’ Snow Capped River to Tim Rollins’ Midsummer Night’s Dream. Hands-on activities for families explore warm and cool colors and impressionist painting techniques.

April Free Family Day: Garbage to Gardens
Get a head start on Earth Day! Make “flowers and plants” by recycling plastic bottles, bags and paper. Be inspired by artist Karrie Hovey, who made an art garden at the Jepson Center entirely of recycled materials.
