Tybee Island Marine Science Center is closed on Tuesdays for tank maintenance, but these public Walks, Talks, and Treks and group programs are available every day.
Oatland Island Summer Camps are week-long day camps available to rising Kindergarteners through rising 8th graders. Campers will discover the fascinating world of science through hands-on activities, creative crafts and wildlife investigations.
Early Bird registration prices opened to the general public on March 2nd and closes after March 6th.
Summer camps are listed in alphabetical order by the name of the camp. Each camp has all the weeks it is offered listed.
Click on the camp you would like to register for and add it to the cart. You may only register for ONE camp per child.
If you need extended care from 3:00pm-5:00pm, select Summer Camp Extended Care and add it to the cart.
If you want to buy an additional t-shirt for your child, select Summer Camp Additional T-shirt and add it to the cart.

Provide your contact information – Name, Phone Number and Email Address
Check your cart to ensure you are registering for the correct camp. Check the age group listed for the camp and the week you are signing up for.
Enter your credit card number, expiration date, security code, and zip code. Then, click Place Order.
Once your payment is received, the summer camp coordinator will send you the link to a form to complete the registration process. This may take up to a week as we are processing a large number of payments at one time.
Once you complete the registration form, your camper is confirmed for summer camp at Oatland Island Wildlife Center.

Schools are closed on St. Patrick’s Day. Advanced Academics Academy will host a special St. Patrick’s Day camp on Tues. March 17th, 7:30AM-5:30PM for children ages 5-12. Cost: $50.

On January 28, 1942, just after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Eighth Air Force began with 7 men and no airplanes in Savannah, GA.

SouthCoast Health on measles in Coastal Georgia area
In light of the recent announcement of active pediatric measles cases in Bryan County, SouthCoast Health medical experts are reminding patients of the following signs and symptoms of this virus:
High fever; Dry cough; Runny nose; Red, watering eyes; Tiny white spots inside the mouth, 2-3 days after initial symptoms; Large, flat spot rash, 3-5 days after initial symptoms.
Although measles is highly contagious, the risk of vaccinated people contracting measles is very low. That being said, measles can be serious and even deadly, especially for children younger than age 5.
If you suspect you or your child may have contracted measles, please call our offices prior to your visit so that we may prepare accordingly.

Classes in theater, drama, and improvisation for teens ages 13-16 and youth ages 7-12 are now open for registration.

Sea Camp provides an authentic hands-on experience introducing your child to animals native to Coastal Georgia.
These engaging 1-week programs teach campers by way of the classroom, the beach, field trips and outdoor fun.
