If you are 18+ and interested in a non-dancing performance role in Tybee Ballet Theatre’s The Land of the Sweets, come to a non-dancer info meeting 4-4:30PM Sun. Aug. 13 2023 @ The Tybee Arts Association.
Art favorites are back including youth clay, parent/child music and movement classes, and homeschool art. Plus – check out new classes including youth drawing and painting, modern dance, and teen acting classes!

The Land of the Sweets 2023 is coming to a theater near you this fall, and you could be on stage in the production.
The Tybee Ballet Theatre is holding open dance auditions for roles in their upcoming performances of The Land of the Sweets. Ages 6 & older are encouraged to attend – dance experience is recommended but is not a requirement. Please arrive 15 mins prior to call time to sign in.
If selected, dancers will need to attend rehearsals starting after Sep. 9 2023 and leading up to the performances, presented on Nov. 17 & 18 at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center and on Dec. 9 & 10 @ The Tybee Post Theater.
*The Land of the Sweets is presented at NO COST for cast and participants by the Tybee Ballet Theater as part of the City of Savannah’s Spotlight investment program.

Spring youth classes begin this week at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center! There’s still time to register for art exploration – from our youngest artists in parent/child classes to adventures in visual arts!
All classes are 6 week sessions and build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and artistic skills. Youth classes cover ages 0-12 years.
Time to register for Tormenta FC soccer camps, which are fantastic experiences for both veteran and new soccer players between the ages of 4 and 13.
Tormenta’s dynamic coaches will play fun games that will promote soccer skill development, learning, character building, and exercise. Your child will greatly enjoy camp and have an amazing week on the field.
Tormenta FC soccer camps are designed for kids between the ages of 4 and 13 to have fun, learn skills, and make friends.
Tormenta features camps throughout the Savannah, Bluffton, and Hilton Head areas so your family will have an amazing summer experience.
Violin explorations introduces children to the smallest member of the string family: The Violin. Learn through games, songs, practice and repetition of one skill at a time. This class will cover: parts of the violin, how to hold the violin and bow, how to use the bow and pluck strings, basic rhythms and melodies, basic music reading including staff and notes.
Two classes are offered, one for ages 3-4 years and one for ages 5-7.
The one-week and two-week musical theatre productions are 9AM-5PM and extended care hours are available 8-9AM and 5-6PM. These camps end in a weekend of performances. The Aerial camp is a half day camp. Find specific times here. The camp ends in a final performance Friday evening
