Southern Women's Show Savannah Lots of girl-power fun to look forward to @ Southern Women’s Show Savannah, Feb. 26-28 @ Savannah International Trade & Convention Center on Hutchinson Is.

Highlights include:

Recipe Redo: Formerly known as the Retro Rad Chef from Food Network’s Food Network Star, Cupcake Wars & most recently as the winner of Cutthroat Kitchen, Emily Ellyn will be on the Cooking Stage on Saturday at 3:30PM &  Sunday at 1:30PM & 3:30PM, where she will demonstrate her latest retro-recipe-redo of classic dishes. Enjoy Ellyn’s recipe samples brought to you by the Georgia Beef Board.

FREE Show Bucks: The Southern Women’s Show will give away $10 in “Show Bucks” to the first 150 people in line each day. Show bucks spend just like cash and can be used to shop at any of the exhibits (excluding concessions).

Happy Hour on Friday and Saturday: Guests receive a complimentary glass of wine on Friday & Saturday evenings after 5PM with coupon from the Southern Women’s Show website. One per person while supplies last with valid ID.

SPAcation with the Heavenly Spa by Westin Savannah Harbor: Guests can register at the show to win the Heavenly Journey spa package: a luxurious 4.5 hour spa session that includes a Relaxation bath, Signature Massage, Classic Facial, & Signature Manicure-Pedicure.

Firefighter Show: Burnin’ Up the Runway with Savannah’s Southside Fire Department,
6PM Fri. Feb. 26; 5PM Sat. Feb. 27:
Check out Savannah’s bravest as they gear up & strut their stuff down the catwalk. Proceeds benefit the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, which provides assistance to families of burn patients being treated at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Chef Darin of Savannah:  Get hands-on cooking experience from Chef Darin Sehnert on the Cooking Stage on Fri. Feb. 26 at 5:30PM. Sehnert operates the Savannah hands-on cooking school, Chef Darin’s Kitchen Table.

Pacific Foods: Johnathon Scott Barrett, spokesperson and chef for Pacific Foods, will be on the Cooking Stage on Fri. Feb. 26 at 3:30PM, Sat. Feb. 27 at 12:30PM, Sun. Feb. 28 at 2:30PM. He’ll incorporate recipes using Pacific Foods.

Southern Writers Showcase: This year’s show will feature three Southern authors: Olivia deBella Byrd, Kim Boykin, and Kristy Woodson Harvey. Attendees will enjoy a special meet-and-greet with these special writers who will also be signing autographs and performing readings on Sat. Feb. 27 & Sun. Feb.28.

Olivia deBella Byrd: Following in the footsteps of Southern humorists Fanny Flagg and Bailey White, Byrd, a self-described Southern Belle, created a delightful book of personal essays dedicated to delving into the mysteries of the modern Southern Belle, all created from personal experiences. Olivia deBella Byrd is the author of the award winning book Miss Hildreth Wore Brown—Anecdotes of a Southern Belle.

Kim Boykin: Raised in South Carolina, Kim Boykin often visits the lowcountry’s one-stoplight towns and marshy, moss-draped landscapes in her fiction. Boykin’s first novel, 2013’s The Wisdom of Hair, is the story of Zora Adams, a young woman from a tiny South Carolina town who escapes her rough home life by going to beauty school. Boykin’s latest novel, A Peach of a Pair, follows a young woman, who with the help of two elderly sisters, overcomes the ultimate betrayal!

Kristy Woodson Harvey: Kristy Woodson Harvey’s writing has appeared in numerous publications and websites, including Southern Living, Domino, Our State, and Houzz. Her latest novel, Lies and Other Acts of Love, tells the story of Lynn “Lovey” White and her family. After sixty years of marriage and five daughters, “Lovey” understands all too well that all of us, from time to time, need to use our little white lies.

Sunday, Feb. 28

Parking will be FREE on Sunday in honor of Mother Daughter Day.

Presented by Tanger Outlets, free perfume samples will be offered to the first 500 mother/daughter duos who visit the Tanger Outlets exhibit on Sunday. Tanger Outlets exhibit will also give out $10 gift card vouchers for Tanger Outlets, Hilton Head * Tanger Outlets, Savannah all weekend.

Mother-Daughter Cake Decorating Contest: Gigi’s Cupcakes of Savannah on the Cooking Stage, 3PM on Sun. Feb. 28 for the Mother Daughter Cake Decorating Contest. Participants will receive a pre-iced cake & tons of decorative goodies. 1st place will win a cupcake party package courtesy of Gigi’s Cupcakes. All mother-daughter duos can take their creation home.
