Calvary Day School in Savannah will host Military Appreciation this Friday night Aug. 18 2017 at M.C. Anderson Field.

As part of Military Appreciation, all active and retired military members will receive free admission into the game. 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade Commander, Col. Mark Johnson, will flip the coin during the pre-game ceremony. All VFW & American Legion Members will be honored on the field during halftime.

The Summer Academy at Calvary Day School in Savannah will be back again this summer for its 41st year.

The mission of Calvary’s summer camp is to provide each child with a fun, Christ-centered experience through activities that allow them to grow physically, emotionally & spiritually.

After weeks of reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates, the Calvary Day School hiring committee voted unanimously to hire a seasoned teacher with exceptional leadership experience and a passion for fostering the growth of elementary children.

Meet Marianne Chase, Calvary’s new lower school principal.

Chase was chosen among several excellent candidates from schools around the world. Ultimately the best candidate came from within the Calvary family. Chase is one of Calvary’s current Kindergarten teachers.

She now will be the next leader to guide the continued growth and development of Calvary’s elementary children and challenge Calvary’s staff to ever-higher heights.
