Savannah Volunteer Opportunities for Teens: Join Junior Cultural Affairs Commission Program

Teens invited to build skills & resumes while earning volunteer hours with Junior Cultural Affairs Commission Program

Is your teen passionate about the arts? Do they want to make a difference in their community while earning volunteer credit hours for school?

Encourage them to sign up for the Junior Cultural Affairs Commission (Jr.CAC) program!

Jr.CAC is a companion program to the Cultural Affairs Commission (CAC) designed to offer school-aged youth an opportunity to help shape arts and culture in Savannah. CAC is an 18-member board appointed by the Mayor and Alderman who advise and recommend arts and cultural programming for the City of Savannah.

Students who sit on Jr. CAC will review programs and supply input on how art and cultural programming impacts local youth and their communities. They will also help develop future art, culture, and history programming for the City of Savannah.

Applications are open to students in grades 9-12 who attend a public or a private school and live within Savannah city limits. Applications will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31. Students who are selected for Jr.CAC can earn volunteer hours for school.

Interested students and parents can learn more and apply at savannahga.gov/jrcac.
